It was the first mission from a campaign that I downloaded. It took me about an hour to destroy all the required bandits (plus I had been trying all day) and all I had left to do was land. Frown Is there a way to make it so that I have completed the mission so that I can move on to mission 2? I really don't feel like going through it again. Maybe in using the editor?

You dont actually need to land to complete a mission, although most folks prefer to for the realism.

Many missions and campaigns are classified with a password so that they cannot be easily/accidentally changed. The stock missions and campaigns that come with Lockon use the password EAGLE.

Instead of starting the Campaign by pressing CAMPAIGN from the start screen, go into the Mission Editor, then upper left of screen click on the open button, bottom right TYPE OF FILE select CAMPAIGN, navigate the folder structure to the campaign you want and select it. Bottom right click on MAP. Now you should see just the 1st mission of your campaign.

Top left click on EDIT, then DECLASSIFY, enter the password EAGLE. Now all the missions in the campaign should appear on the right hand side. You can fly the campaign missions in any order you want and if you really want to, also change skins, weapon loadout, weather, etc. I use this method all the time to cherry pick the fun missions in a campaign and miss out the dull ones.

If you have downloaded any of the excellent missions/campaigns designed by the Lockon community, then some may be classified. Either the briefing notes or the readme file may tell you the password. Some may not.

If you dont know the password, then you can "cheat" by overwriting the password with your own. Use keystrokes rather than the pulldown menu to do this.

Press "ctrl + left shift + C" then type in a new password of your own choice e.g. 1234.

Now press "ctrl + left shift + D" and enter your password e.g. 1234

Note that Lockon does seem to forget that you have overwritten the password, so you may have to do this each time you restart Lockon.

Hope this helps.........

I suppose he can't land and thus finish mission. So he must re-fly entire mission due to lack of mission-save feature.

I could have SWORN that very early on Wags or Stormin said that landing WAS req'd. to complete a mission.

However- I have almost no offline flight time, so don't mind me... Confused

I've never needed to land to complete a mission to move onto the next one in the campaign.

It could be that you need to land to get the Pilot stats update, but I never bother with the stats anyway - it's too much effort having to keep editing that file to bring my pilot back to life again!! Roll Eyes

I've kept a logbook since like... day 5.. sadly I lost a fairly sizeable chunk of data during a very ugly crash on my last rig.. I hadn't made a backup file of it in like 6 months prior to it's death...
