I think number one priority is definitely get multiplayer sorted and quick.

I cannot figure for the life of me why - 35 mins into a multiplayer game, definitely one of the following will occur:

Someone's screen will go black

Someone will lock up

Someone looks like they are flying under ground

Someone's computer will slow down A LOT to a point where pressing esc, it takes 5mins for the quit menu to appear.

This is with the host using end it all and without, with everyones settings syncronised 128/128 and even with firewall off etc.

It needs looking into I'm afraid or people will get pissed with this game and playing online.

Me personally I think LOMAC is SUCH a good game - but half hour of mp to restart and try again is getting me down.

Parameters of various weapon types were specified and adjusted:
Shaped-charge projectiles hit effect is calculated. In case of target miss they hardly damage the armor.
Cratering bomb effect is more accurately calculated.
Anti-aircraft missiles trajectory was changed and optimized.
Realistic launch and hit range of air defense systems was modeled.
New weapon and pods models were made: SPPU-22, КАБ-500Кр, КАБ-500Т, Р-24Р, Р-24Т, Х-31А, Х-31П, Х-35, Vihr, KMGU, external tank PTB-800, small jamming station, "Phantasmagoria" pod, SPS-141, 5В55Р ЗРК С-300 missile, 48Н6Е2 ЗРК Риф missile.
New modules of aviation missile launchers and catapult devices AKU-58, APU-62, APU-63 were made.
Fortification constructions, checkpoints, blockhouses, command center, weapon storage were introduced. They can be set by a user via mission editor for any mission.
Three new campaigns for Su-25Т, SU-27 and Mig-29 aircraft were created. All in all they comprise 76 missions.
A new course of training tracks showing all new possibilities which Su-25Т aircraft provides.
The manual is significantly broadened and adjusted. All aspects of available for operating aircraft are fully described with detailed description of devices, equipment and systems functions.

Russian avionics have recieved a major overhaul, yet it seems that the electronics on the F-15C haven't even been touched. For example, HOJ and ACM modes which were 'revised' in the Russian aircraft could've just as easily been revised for the F-15C. Minor things like the fact that the ACM modes in the APG-70 actually scan out to 15 miles (not 10, as in the game) could've been fixed quickly and painlessly.

Not bashing the expansion, just merely pointing this fact out. I currently see no incentive for the average gamer in North America to buy this add on (those of us addicted to Lock On are not average ). As I said, I will probably will buy Flaming Cliffs, but only because I enjoy the genre rather than things in it.

But hey, for those who fly the Frogfoot (and to a more limited degree, other Russian planes), this could be just what people are looking for. But hey, whatever floats your boat.

Actually "Hot Rocks" is an appropriate name if you think about the SU-25t being mainly a ground pounder.

Just think, this bird rolls in on some unsuspecting tanks and lets off a few TV-guided missles. A few short minutes later, around the base of the smoldering tanks - you're gonna have some "HOT ROCKS!"

This game is so very Russian now :P doesn't bother me though, so long as they keep up the good work and keep improving. Would still love to see the F/A-18 in game.
