I think you can simply switch to the R-73 to shoot. If the radar does not maintain a lock during the selection, then I'd recommend switch to VS mode or helmet, assuming you have eyes on the target. These modes use the EOS by default. Still- a front-aspect Fox 2 is not advisable if you can help it..

You seem to want to know how to switch over to a different missile.

Use the "D" key to change weapons.

Read the keystroke files in the options input menu to learn the various functions in the sim.

You might not get the lunch cue in the HUD at 15km. If you are within range you'll get the LA in the HUD. If your using helmet mode then the circle will blink. The range all depends on the target aspect, range and altitude for the most part.
