Using FC 1.12B
Went into LOMAC and cleared all buttons for X52.
Pinkie switch tests ok in Saitek control panel.
Set up my profile and it's working great except for any [button+pinkie].

ex)
button 4 = Toggle Flaps [F]
button 4 + pinkie = Flaps to Landing [SHFT+F]

I can toggle my flaps with button 4 but I get no response with button 4 + pinkie.

Keyboard [SHFT+F] still works!

It's gotta be something simple I'm missing but what?? Thanks in advance for any help!

Minor correction ...

button 4 + pinkie toggles flaps (like button 4 without the pinkie)

3 possibilities-

a. You don't have it mapped the same in EVERY mode..

b. You have to set the pinkie switch to either "SHIFT" or to create 3 new modes. You may have it wrong.

c. If you're in flight the flaps (& gear) will not deploy above a certain speed..

Personally- I preferred SHIFT for the pinkie when I used an X45

One thing you can do ---

(1) Continue to use your button 4 to toggle flaps independantly

(2) set up your gear button (whichever one that you use) to contain gear and flap commands. To do this you have to enter the F key and then the G key into the command line in that order. Using G before F will not work ---you will get flaps down and gear up and vice versa. If you would rather use Shift F then setup as
---shiftF + G----.

It appears that you are using two buttons already so just incorporate the flap command with the gear command on one of them.

Well ....

It wasn't the first one ... there'd be no sense in having 3 modes if you have to program them all the same.

It wasn't the last one ... I was testing my profile while in the parking area.

It WAS the second one!!!! Gee ... why didn't I think of that. I guess I was expecting my PC to do my thinking for me. I set the pinkie to "shift" and it's working great!!

Thanks for getting me straight!!

You're welcome, but you are somewhat mistaken- There are MANY commands that you would want to be the same in all 3 modes. Many of these examples are most of the flight surface controls which may be needed at anytime. You don't want to think about it- you'd want it to just happen.

Trim, speedbrakes, flaps..

Oh For Sure! But what I meant was that you don't have to set all modes the same for something to work in any one mode. For example ... I don't need to toggle my gear in air-to-ground mode.
