Downloaded latest drivers and Profile editor. Can't get the game to keep the controls saved nor can I get the editor to save a profile and make it work in the game. No i'm not a programmer so the idea of writing code in some files is not something I would know how to do either. Using the 1.02 patch that was clean and installed from a single disk copy of LOMAC. Not a copied disk but a brand new copy. The Pc specs are in my sig. What can I do to fix this amd get the game to work already?

My System Specs
Dell Inspiron 530
Intel Dual E2160@2.0 GHZ
2GB DDR RAM 32 bit
Ati 1650 with 512MB DDR
Vista Home System

Well- set your stick up as shown on this page

http://www.freewebs.com/konkussion/flighthardwaresetuppage.htm

BUT since you're on Vista- I'm thinking that the .dat [profile] files won't work. Something about a new driver that uses a new .pro file extension for profiles.

SOmeone here might want to post here to confirm this, but I think it's

.dat= XP only
.pro= Vista only.

I say "Vista only" because a couple of guys in the S77th have tried to use the .pro's with no luck on Xp.

Consult saitek website.

The profiles are being saved as .pro. The profiler is saying the stick hasn't been profiled even though a profile is made and activated. Right now i'm uninstalling the saitek software and trying again. What really burns me up a bit is the lack of the game saving the settings even though the "ok" button is getting clicked and the controls have been gone through pretty thoroughly. What a waste of time on the devs if the game can't even getoff the ground. Like the graphics and how it flies but the interface really sucks. Having to download hyperlobby to fly with other people is like falcon 4.0. A game killer. Should be able to get right into a server with other people playing. Not have to find out individual ip adresses to hope that a connection gets made and stays active. Maybe the next bunch of sims that come out wont be arcade in the game but will be as far as connecting and getting settings to save.

I got a bit of bad news for ya- plenty of us have the game working just fine. Whatever the problem is- it's on YOUR end. Other than the new .pro things Saitek just came out with just about everyone can get get flying online or not just dandy.

I had the same problem. But I dont have Vista. And with me, it just started working after a while (and after plenty of reinstals).

Im running LOMAC on Vista Ultimate 64 and it works just fine for me...so does the profiler for the X52.

Heres something I found out, I asked this on the Saitek forums many moons ago. If you unplug your X52 and plug it into a different USB port, you will have to install the drivers again (Vista doesnt like that much) for that joystick. The Saitek drivers seem to function for the port and that port only the joystick was plugged and installed in. You wont be able to run the Saitek profiler without the joystick properly installed, much less program it.
