I am running plain LOMAC with both patches and when I set the assignments (views, weapons, flaps, gear etc...) for the X45 and click OK they are all reset to defalt when I go to the game. Any suggestions?

Be more specific ---what assignments.

Bring up your lomac installation folder in explorer.

Highlight it, right-click & select properties.

UNcheck the read only flag.

I tried un-checking the read only box but still have the problem. The second I click on OK after making the controller assignments they are all gone again and back to the default.

OK you mean that when you reopen the input page- you see the keyboard device listed? That is normal.

It does not indicate the active device- it's simply the first on the list.

If you selected your X45, made changes, clicked OK to save, then you can go back in there, select the X45 again, and your changes will be there.

If you're trying to profile the buttons on your X45 using the LOMAC input menu- you're making a mistake. YOU should use that menu for AXIS settings only.

I click on options, I go to the input page, change the device from keyboard to Saitek X45, change the assignments for the Saitek X45 to the way I want them, click OK, the screen goes back to the main menu page. When I click on options and go back to the input page, click Saitek X45, all the assignments that I had just made have changed back to what they were before.

I would say you have a software problem somewhere.

My settings will also default if I have a catastrophic occurance --like the "blue screen of death".

With an occasional minor glitch on my computer then it will usually default then also.

What I am sayimng is if there is a computer or software problem of any kind you will usually get the default settings again.

Not everything in the game will default ---audio and graphics for instance will not default ---but the axis will.

I suggest you reload the sim.

I needed to reinstall the drivers for my Saitek X45 but had to first go into the registry and manually delete some files from the old Saitek installation from a year ago before I could download the drivers and software again. Lomac then kept the chages on the input page. What a Pain!

Not surprised ---corrupt X-45 software will cause a lot of problems in the sim.
