I just install Flaming Cliffs, it works fine, thought it doesn't look so real as the movie downloaded from Lockonfiles site.
(DO I have to find some mods and install them to improve the movie?)

But I wonder what's the best setting of Shadow.
Full? all planer? Active planer?
In the LOMAC version, it seems to look best in "Active planer", so...in the v1.12b, which one is the best?

Otherwise, what's the "HAZE" mean?
There is no explaination in the referrence yet...

Thanks for your answer a lot! ^^

There is no such thing as "best". Full means the best optical settings, but it does not work with most nVidia-cards. It displays self-shadowing, etc.

Active planar means that only active objects cause a shadow, opposed to all planar, where also buildings and other static objects cast shadows.

Haze means the horizon. If you set it to advanced, your visibility will be limited by "fog" or better, particles that are in the air. In basic, that fog is not rendered or at least to a less extend and visibility is rather limited by graphics popping up.

If it does not affect your FPS too much, I would say set HAZE=Advanced. Haze is a poor name for this control as it affects other things besides how hazy the sky looks in the distance. I seem to recall that if you do not have haze = advanced, then the searchlight trucks that light up the runway threashold at night do not work correctly, I think it can affect your landing lights too?

From what i remember reading about shadows, some video cards have a problem with shadoes on FULL. I also think it can be a hit on your FPS. I'm quite happy with shadows on Active Planar, I can see the shadow of my jet and any bandit I'm chasing at low level, that's all I need.

Sorry Death, you lose! It was Professor Plum....
