I have read all the responses to this topic and have a question. I got a new laptop (Vista) and tried to install Riven however I didn't have the problem listed above. My problem was that it wouldn't even let me completely install the game. I kept getting an error that had to do with Quicktime. Something about a version being partially installed. It gave me the option to continue installing the portion that wasn't installed but each time I selected it I was sent back to the same error? Can anyone help me (bearing in mind that I basically have no computer knowledge other than to turn on my computer and play) Thank you

Since your problems are with Riven and Vista, and to keep us on-topic, please start a new topic (aka "Discussion") in this Forum.
-- a. Click on the New tab at the top left of the main "Riven - tips, hints, tech help, and general discussion" Forum index page, then click on Discussion.
-- b. Type an appropriate title in the Subject: box.
----- 1. Do NOT use an existing title.
-- c. With the mouse cursor at the upper left corner of the Message: box, type in the explanation of your problem.
----- 1. Include the details you posted above, plus anything else that might help diagnose the problem.
-- d. Click on Post Now.
