I think the DVD is broken. Or there's something wrong with your DVD drive.

I have exactly the same message pop up, at exactly the same point.

My DVD drive is more than fine, it's one of the finest.

The DVD spent no more than 5 seconds in the open air.

Anybody got anything helpful? (telling me something is wrong with hardware does not count as helpful) thanks! : P

Even just out of the box things can be broken Indifferent
Even uber-expensive DVD drives can have a hitch once in a while Indifferent

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyclic_redundancy_check (dont mind the programming and math stuff)

It's used to check data for errors. If 1 bit is wrong on the DVD, or is read wrongly by the laser, you'll get an error of this kind.

Electontric equipment can easily be defective. It something that can happen in the factory when its being made. Its just the way it is and won't ever be perfect.

Contact Ubi or return the game for a replacement

It seems to only happen on that specific file from that specific folder "C:\...\SCDA-Offline\Sounds\Spa\MAPS.LMO" I tried a custom install and it crashed again on the same file in a different location on the progress bar.
