Hello,

I did some searching in the forum first.

It can't save anything to the book. If I write something, close the book and re-open it, nothing is inside (only the "My Myst V Journal"). If I click the blue ball, no picture (and save game I assume) appears in the book.

The last save game (quit -> start game -> "continue") works fine (where I left it).

Should I do the "5. Clean-boot EoA Install, No Previous Installation" prosedure?
I am not an advanced user.
Is it completely safe to do it (disable the services etc. & then activate again) ?
Can I do something "less" first?
In "vpd.properties" I can see only Myst V entries. Should I deleted (or just rename it, just in case ...) ?

A. Yes, you should. You don't need to be an advanced user, so long as you can accurately follow step-by-step instructions. Just read through everything - carefully! - at least once, and print it out. Then check off each step as you do it.

A. Yes, so long as you accurately follow the step-by-step instructions. Of course, if you don't follow the instructions, all will not go well.

Q. Can I do something "less" first?
A. Probably not. See CANNOT SAVE GAME, a few topics below this one.

A. If you see only EoA entries in vpd.properties, you can delete the file. However, there's no harm in also renaming it if you want to do so.
