This is for those with older Macs that may be hesitant to pick up this game because Ubi states the minimum processor required to play on the Mac is 1ghz, with a 1.6 recommended.

Unless there is something really unusual I haven't run across yet, those minimum CPU speeds may be a severe overstatement -

So far, it's running quite well on my single 867 (running 10.4.2 w/768mb ram), in 1600x1200 on an retail/nonOEM ATI 9000 Pro/128.

Graphics and audio are synced, and so far, have not been jerky. Load time "transporting" from one area to another is faster than in M-IV.

Since for Windows, its minimum is a P3/800, I'd speculate you could achieve acceptable play on a G4/733.

I'm running fine on my G4 iMac 1ghz with 1gig ram. Just had to set video to 800x600 and the other video to low detail. I have a few performance glitches at times but it's playable and feels like better performance than IV just cuz there is no delay when clicking nodes anymore.
