The right book is the rust-red one next to the Camera.

However, if there's nothing in that book, I'd suggest re-installing EoA from a clean boot as detailed in Myst V: Clean Boot Install/Re-install With Win XP.

Hi Gricey,
When you start the game, you can click on continue to go to where you left off. The game does autosave. You don't have to start at the beginning every time.

When installing EoA from a clean boot as noted above, pay special attention to the steps under Overall Windows and Hard Disk Tune-up With Win XP, as well as under Installing and Re-Installing EoA With Win XP, 1. Preventing Installation Problems - General Comments.

If that doesn't solve the problem, post a DxDiag report in this thread so that we can take a look at your system and maybe make recommendations. See Myst V: System Requirements and Posting Guidelines under To post a DxDiag report for a how-to. Run all of the tests you can on the Display, Sound and Music tabs before saving the report to a file, and post *ALL* of the contents of the file. If the manufacturer and exact model number of your PC aren't shown under 'System Information', System Manufacturer and System Model at the top of the report, also include that information in your post.

When you start the game, you hit play. It takes you to another menu with NEW, CONTINUE, OPTIONS, and QUIT. Do you get this screen. If not you might have problems with your install. I just tried it on my computer and I get that menu. And as far as the camera and saves I can't say.
