Right now the graphics for Myst V: End of Ages aren't up to the par I was expecting. As of now, the graphics on Myst III are better than what I'm seeing. The graphics are slightly jagged and some ages run really jittery (Direbo is really bad). I've turned down all the settings that I can and that doesn't work. My computer is more than capable of handling the game and I know it's a clean computer.
Here is the system information as provided by the Myst V detection tool: Operating System: MS Windows XP Home Service Pack 2 (Build 2600) CPU Frequency: 2200 Mhz Main Memory: 511 MB DirectX Installed: Version 9.0c Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Video Memory: 128 MB Sound Card Installed |

Suggestions:
Always log into Windows with full Administrator privileges before installing any driver or DirectX. "Download accelerator" or "download helper" utilities should NOT be used when downloading any driver or DirectX. 1. In Myst V: Installing Video Drivers With Win XP under Installing NVIDIA Drivers, you'll see: "Some older video chipsets - the Geforce 2 MX/MX 400, for example - do not play nicely with the latest NVIDIA drivers. If you have a GeForce 2/3/4 chipset or a low-number FX (like 5200) and version 84.21 doesn't help, try version 45.23. Then, if 45.23 doesn't help, try version 52.16. Install using the procedure below. These drivers are both available here." How an NVIDIA driver is installed is very important. So, install as per the step-by-step instructions under Installing NVIDIA Drivers. However, before re-installing DirectX 9.0C: Clear your Internet Explorer caches. -- a. Close all open applications. -- b. Open a single Internet Explorer session. -- c. Click on Tools > Internet Options. -- d. Click on Delete Cookies > OK. -- e. Click on Delete Files (check the 'Delete all offline content' box) > OK. -- f. Click on Clear History > Yes. -- g. Click on OK to exit. Then Use Windows Explorer to search all hard disks for \temp, \tmp, and \temporary folders, and delete any files in these folders that aren't currently in use. If Windows complains when you try to delete a file, leave that file alone! -- a. Click on Tools > Find > Files or Folders. -- b. Type temp or tmp or temporary in the Named: box. -- c. Click on the arrow at the right end of the Look in: box and then click on the disk drive to be searched. -- d. Click on Find Now to start the search. -- e. Click on the temp (or tmp or temporary) folders found to open them. -- f. Delete any files in these folders that aren't currently in use. Now re-install DirectX 9.0c, and do the rest of the driver installation procedure. 2. What appears to be a video problem can in fact be at least partially an audio problem. Update the driver for your sound chipset to the latest from your PC or motherboard manufacturer's website, or from the chipset manufacturer (like Creative, for a Sound Blaster). 3. Do steps 2, 4, and 3 (in that order) in Myst V: Miscellaneous Video Problem Fixes. 4. If none of the above help, post a DxDiag report in this thread so that we can take a look at your system and maybe make recommendations. See Myst V: System Requirements and Posting Guidelines under To post a DxDiag report for a how-to. Run all of the graphics and sound tests you can before saving the report to a file, and post *all* of the file. If the manufacturer and exact model number of your PC aren't shown under 'System Information' (System Manufacturer and System Model) at the top of the report, also include that information in your post.
