i have installed Myst V on my new PC under Microsoft Vista SP1.
Starting the game resulted in the stack error message which has been discussed in other topics. The installation of the zipped patch files solved the problem and the game is now starting without problem.
However the game is now running in english language only. The language selection, which is offered in the start screen, does not change anything. It remains in english only.
Is there a solution for that problem?

I beleive that a "new" registry key is toggling your installation to the english version.

Now that you have the missing files, you could try to make a backup of this new folder and try a new installation in your chosen language after uninstalling your present Myst 5. Make certain you know/remember the path to this new folder.(after the patch)

If you do not know about the "infamous" vpd.properties file read this post before attempting a new reinstall. (look for the vpd.properties instructions)...

The problem could be solved by changing the key "lang" in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Myst V

from blank to de.
