Hi, I am playing my first age, Taghira, and sometimes when I pick up the slate off of a pedastol, it does not appear in the lower third of my screen. But it's no longer on the pedastol either, and the slate is now nowhere to be found. Sometimes, I drop it with a symbol on it, but it disappears again. Has this happened to anyone else and is there a way to fix it?

As a first pass, try re-installing EoA from a clean boot, as detailed in Myst V: Clean Boot Install/Re-install With Win XP.
