Try re-installing EoA from a clean boot as detailed in Myst V: Clean Boot Install/Re-install With Win XP.

I have same problem as the original poster. However, I have tried both a clear install of the game and of java (several times) and still experience the same problem. Any other suggestions?

alienped,

Please start another topic in this Forum, and post a DxDiag report in the new topic. Click on the New tab at the top of this page, then click on Discussion.

1. See Posting Guidelines and Myst V System Requirements under POSTING GUIDELINES, To post a DxDiag report for a how-to. Run all of the graphics and sound tests you can before saving the report to a file, and post *all* of the file. If the manufacturer and exact model number of your PC aren't shown under 'System Information' (System Manufacturer and System Model) at the top of the report, also include that information in your post.

2. Describe your problem in as much detail as you can, at the top of your post before the DxDiag report.
-- a. Include all error messages, as exactly as possible.
-- b. Include the contents of the installation log. Use Windows (not Internet) Explorer to look in all of the folders to which you attempted to install EoA - probably C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Cyan Worlds\Myst V End Of Ages and subfolders - for a Log.txt or <something>.log file. Copy/paste the log contents the same way as for the DxDiag.txt file. (Double-click on the file to open it, right-click anywhere in the text, etc.)
