Ok, here's an odd question for Mac folks out there, who have followed the directions in the "PC version WILL run on Mac" thread, found here:

Is the Windows version any faster than the OS X version on a Mac? It may sound stupid, but I noticed the Windows system specs were only for an 800Mhz machine, where the Mac specs say at least a 1Ghz is needed. Just wondered if the PC version was somehow faster. I've exhausted all the usual options to get EoA to run without choppiness on my G4, and am now looking for unconventional ways to speed things up.

Nope. The difference in system requirements is based on the different capabilities of the two systems. Effectively speaking, a PC equipped to the minimum specs will run the game no faster or slower (on average) than a Mac equipped to those minimum specs. Differences in processor speeds and memory requirements are largely based on the capabilities of the hardware and the way in which the OS uses the hardware it has.
