I have a problem with my game. I went through almost half of the game without any problems (I just started noloben). But now, when I load my game, it starts all over again (the intro by atrus) and I find myself in K'veer. When I go grab the book and the camera, I can see all my saves but when I try to load one of them, the intro starts again.

I tried copying my saves to another directory, desinstalling the game and then reinstalling it, but I still have the same problem.

I know you must be very busy and that you have lives other than this forum, but I just want to know if my problem can be fixe or if I have to start the game all over again.

English is not my first language so I'm not sure if I use the right words. I don't need the answer right now, I just want to know if there is an answer.

By default, game saves are in C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Myst V End of Ages\Sav\Store1. Journal saves are in C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Myst V End of Ages\Sav\Store1\Journal\images.
-- Is C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Myst V End of Ages\Sav\Store1 where you are finding your saves?
-- Did you copy your original saves back to C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Myst V End of Ages\Sav\Store1 after uninstalling/re-installing the game?

Pending the answers to those questions, some suggestions:

1. Start EoA, then click on NEW instead of on CONTINUE. If Player 1 is entitled "Corrupted":
-- a. Close all open applications, then open a Windows Explorer session.
-- b. Go to your C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Myst V End of Ages\Sav\Store1 folder. Your save subfolders will be sequentially numbered, the highest number being the latest/newest save.
-- b. Open the latest save subfolder.
-- c. Delete or rename the .data file of the Age in which you were playing, the last time you saved (not quit) the game.
-- d. Close Windows Explorer back to the Desktop, and play EoA.

If that doesn't help, or if you don't remember which Age you were in the last time you saved:
-- a. Close all open applications, then open a Windows Explorer session.
-- b. Go to your C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Myst V End of Ages\Sav\Store1 folder.
-- b. Delete or rename the latest/newest (highest number) save subfolder.
-- c. Close Windows Explorer back to the Desktop, and play EoA.

If Player 1 is still entitled "Corrupted", delete or rename the current newest save subfolder.

2. Re-install EoA from a clean boot to your Administrator account as detailed under Installing and Re-Installing EoA, "6. Clean-boot EoA Re-install, Previous Installation", in Myst V: Clean Boot Install/Re-install With Win XP.

OK...

yes the C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Myst V End of Ages\Sav\Store1 where I found my saves and yes I did copy it in the same folder.

I did try to start a new game instead of charging an old one, but the player 1 don't say corrupt. It just say replace. My saves where for player 2 tough. but player 2 says the same thing.

Do I have to reinstall from a clean boot even tough player 1 and 2 are not corrupt?

I also tried to load a previous save and it worked. But, when I tried to load my last save from that point, I returned to the intro. I guess that, from that point, all the subsequent saves are corrupt. It's not a big deal because at least, I don't have to redo all the game, but I still want to know why that happen to be sure that it won't happen again.

Do the following:

1. Delete the save that returns you to the intro.

2. Continue playing EoA from the most recent save that does NOT return you to the intro. If any of the saves you make from that point return you to the intro, re-install EoA from a clean boot. See Myst V: Clean Boot Install/Re-install With Win XP, under Installing and Re-Installing EoA, "6. Clean-boot EoA Re-install, Previous Installation".
