Like other posters, I cannot hear any of the voices. I am using the latest drivers for my sound card and have the speakes set to "default stereo speaks." Any help would be appreciated as it appears that none of the other posters were able to resolve the issue.

Default stereo speakers is your problem. The game is in 5:1 surroundsound and the voices come through the centre speaker, which is usual for this setting.

Yeah, it certainly could be speaker setup problem. Or, it could be a sound driver problem or maybe something else.

If you do a Forum search for "voice" (without the quotes), you'll find:
-- esher's voice
-- Muted/muffled voice
-- Audio only half way through
-- Both video and sound problems
-- kernel 32 dll error when try to start demo
