One of the better server to date...

Domination @ BDA:
- 5 respawn limit (removed the 'zergfest' factor)
- about 15min matches (not too long of a wait if you use up all your spawns)
- 2 rounds (just enough to switch sides)

Highs:
- limited respawns tend to attract mature players, sometimes you get the odd players...

Lows:
- BDA uses Teamspeak (poor sound quality compared to V.), I personally use Ventrilo.
- occasionally password the server, and can't log on.

Do you get good pings from that server all the way over there????

I always have good ping there and the peeps who play there seem to be cool. At least when I played.

It is probably the best server out there. It's geared for the older players and not so much for the kids. Being an older player myself I totally enjoy the competition.

We had on our server 5 resp limit too but for now it's useless since most of people are rejoining server after use of all resp :/
Hope that GRIN will add some lobby if match was started so players must wait till round ends.

I wanted to exsplain we like uising the teamspeak because it allows more flexability with Channel Commander and being able to use it with Squad play more then Ventrilo does.

I used Ventrilo on other Gameing clans that I started but for the way we try and organize our squad play it wasn't going to work as well.

Also we do password our server but for anyone that gets on team speak they are invited to come in regardless of their playing ability.

We are attracted to the people that want to play the game the way its meant to be played tactically, with comms and we are not discrminating against anyone regardless of how good or bad they play.

We appreciate your kind words and hope to see more of you on our server.

yeah, real good server, I've had many a good game there.

I also have enjoyed this server much. However, I do have a lot of hangs/freezes/time-outs on map changes on this server for some reason that I don't tend to get as often on other servers.

I wonder how much this issue may have to do with Gamespy. I digress...

Love the server when I can stay connected.

I could join other servers thoug just fine ....

Yeah this is a great server, also a great server is the CO dedicated, great pings and same settings as Beer Drinking assasins, LAmest server goes to teh SoK Guys.

We have found that some runnnig x-fire or teamspeak overlay have this problem. Some kind of conflict. Not sure as to what it is though.

We have found that some runnnig x-fire or teamspeak overlay have this problem. Some kind of conflict. Not sure as to what it is though.

Hmm, not here, I have no Xfire, and my teamspeak runs on my linux box doing the firewalling (NAT) .... just better to use a different machine, bc I try to save mem/cpu time for the game

My ping around 130 should not be an issue either I beleive.... anyway I'll give it a try tonight too....


On teamspeak: it would be really great to have teamspeak know automagically who is on which team, i accidentally spent a whole round on the other team's channel, and that sucks kindof
Isn't there a hack for this? It could be relatively easy as far as people have the same teamspeak names as the game .....

Or actually they could put VOIP into the game, they have it ready in the xbox version GR2/GR3 so it shouldn't be that much of a big deal ...

anyway, have to go to work for now

I like the server to, but just stop killing me.

BDA runs a great server. My alter ego, Turd Squirter, has spent many hours in there. I'll be back as long as they let me.

I am hearing its a gamespy bug that is slated to be fixed in the next patch. I hate that they used gamespy its a POS. Hope you get it solved though.

I've been hanging out at the UKGF server and the Belfast Killers one but i'm starting to want to give 5 respawn servers a try as I die far too often, hope to see you guys soon!
