Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 Legacy Edition in EMEA Territories in April 2008

The Legacy Edition for Xbox 360 will include an extra disc with all the GRAW 2 downloadable packs.

March 12, 2008 - Today Ubisoft, one of the world's largest video game publishers, announced that it would release a special Legacy Edition for Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2, the follow up to the massively popular squad-based action franchise, and next generation smash hit of 2006.

This exciting new Legacy Edition will include the original game, and an additional disk containing all the GRAW 2 downloadable packs available on Xbox Live to date! It includes:

    - 32 additional maps, a combination of new maps and best of maps!

    - New exciting game modes and a large variety of exclusive ground-breaking missions

    - Exclusive additional weapons that enrich the tactical possibilities in Single Player

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 Legacy Edition is scheduled for release on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft in April 2008 and will be available in stores at Mid-Price.

Thanks.

Based on that, I count a total of 59 maps

27 with the first original disc, plus the 32 DLC maps.

MIA : Ghost Recon community.
Assumed AWOL to or KIA by opposing video games.

I log on and guess what I see ? Headquarters....
That pretty much says it all.

Sorry Ubi . I did buy the map packs..mainly to see how pretty they could be on this system. I knew nobody was going to actually play these maps in an active fashion the way this game was played when it was first released.

Wish you guys had made these to go with the game at launch or as the first DLC to follow the launch.

I'm not planning on ever selling my copy of GRAW or GRAW 2 because there is a certain amount of replay value to them given the style of co-op Ghost Recon offers vs other games. Unfortunately the adversarial multiplayer aspect of this game is dead and buried.
You can still find some fun co-op rooms and such, but, if you want to play SS or Siege or what not, you are either going to find nothing or you will find Headquarters.

ubermoob, I feel your pain.. it sucks when you buy a map pack, all your friends have the map pack, but you can't seem to fill the room with more than 4 players on these large maps. Everyone online seems to be noobs and don't have ANY of the dl'd content.. NOT EVEN THE FREE STUFF!?

I don't get it really.

all these maps and only ones people want to play are headquarters and riverbank?

I don't mind people playing what they like, but it sucks when your search filter only brings up headquarter hosts.

I know there must be more rooms with ALL the dl'd content... there should be a way to separate the non-dl content with the dl-content.

i know there are quite a few people that play the d/l content new maps exclusively you just have to find these rooms. MY gamertag is xxhellraiser i can find a rom that will play only these maps and sevral diff maps and no its not headquaters.

Tip when you do a search inclde match my packages so you can find players with the same maps packs are you and sometimes you just have to search for few minutes to see who shows up on the board. and these are full rooms 16oppplayers if they host can hold

I'm surprised to hear you say that Ubermoob as I've been on a few times since their release and not found a server playing anything BUT the new dlc maps.

Quite often the hosts leave the map choice as one of the obvious to get the room full, then switch when there's people in it. I just join the room then usually it will come round to the DLC.

Could you clear one thing up though Kleaneasy? Are there maps or other features that can only be obtained by buying the disc? Does the original GRAW2 plus all DLC equate to the legacy edition, or if not, will there be another DLC that makes up any difference? I'm hearing various opinions.

I really hope I'm not expected to repurchase what I already have in order to get what I haven't.

There was no date change, as this is the first time the Legacy Edition has been officially announced.

On the second disc which contains all the DLC, do you put the disc in your xbox and it installs them onto your hard drive or after loading the main game swap the disc over? i was hoping it was all on one disc so as to free up space on my fast filling hard drive

I suppose if it installs onto your xbox hard drive then there would be no point buying it if you already have all the DLC

You asked how to buy it and it's not available till April that's what I was referring to when I asked you to read above. We all know you are enthusiastic that is obvious enough...not jumping to conclusions just trying to do my job. Wink2

After I spent $20+ on DLC and have it take up 3GB of space on my hard drive, they announce that everything is on one disc. NICE!!
