Has there been and more updates regarding a time frame for release of Ghost recon 4(advanced warfighter 3). Ubi was so quick with part 3 (advanced warfighter 2). I thought they be all over a new installment by now. All I have heard so far is 2009-2010. Not very good sources I might add.
Please email me or post response.... thx |

I would have to say that there full of crap.
The biggest show of the year and all major developers announce there up coming games. 1 they don't have anything to show 2 If they did and it was coming out in 7 months, are they that stupid to hold out on the video. 3 the reason they announce it is to keep people tuned in to ubi, for other games to come out. Lets break it down. The biggest show of the year, People announced titles that were not going to be out until november of 2010. If they had even started it they would of said something at the show. I mean are they going to sneak it out and hope that the numbers are good. No as a PR you announce the biggest tilte of your company . Think about it, and keep hanging around |

I think that GR4 is in good shape and is probably ready to show. I think that Ubi want to make a big splash with it, but because its release is behind splinter cell and assassins creed 2 it went to the back of the PR line. Still I expect to hear about GR4 very soon.
On another note I'm gonna make a wild guess and say GR4 will be based on the book Red Storm Rising. Either set in the eighties or more probably an updated modern version of it |

we've already established long ago that the pr department at ubi are completley incompentent. It's a sad day when they'd rather show garbage for wii, not that I have anything agaisnt wii, just basically a garbage inducing console, since most of the games are junkie crap. But anyway it's sad when they show that crap instead of at least a teaser for ghost recon.
The friggin thing better not get delayed either. They have no excuse what so ever. It will be three years and if Call of crap can pump one out a year, ubi has to be very pathetic if they can't get one out in 3. |

I know the current assumption is we'll get GR4 in early 2010 but they would have shown something at E3 if it was truly on track for that date. Based on that, odds are good we'll hear of a delay around Christmas 2009.
In the past, I know some GR games debuted in the spring but GR4 sounds like it's going to be a big overhaul. The long delay means they're almost certainly building a new engine with new gameplay. I think they'll save it for the holiday season which means Christmas 2010. |

I am puzzled why Ubisoft did not announce it at E3. I think it would have been a great idea too. And shorten Camerons speech.

Yes, we call that "tradition" around here. Anxiously await release announcement...release date approaches...2 delays...Release! It almost wouldn't feel right without it. Can't wait for the game, hope it meets expectations. |

LOL! Wasn't it with GRAW where they were at an industry show just a few weeks (like 4) before the launch of the 360, and when asked if it was going to be released with the launch of the 360, they would awkwardly pause, then say, "it is still intended this will be a launch title." Then about a week, maybe less out from launch it was announced the title was delayed? And of course, it ended up being delayed about 3 or 4 months... ------------------------------- "I just blew your mind, didn't I? With the launch of a new console and such, things can be tricky with releases. So I can see the delay.
But now they have absolutely no friggin excuse. If you can't get a game done in 3 years, you shouldn't be making them. Now I know they prob weren't working on it for the whole 3 years but, they had an idea as the last game came out, with sequels they always do. Then since they offically announced it this year, it means, especailly with ubi, that they've been making the game for a good year before that, so by the time it comes out, minimum 2 years they've had to work on it. So unless their doing something completely and utterly new, which i doubt it, there is no way what so ever it should be delayed. |

It takes forever to make games and a great storyline for it. When they came out with the GR2 series, they were close together and people complained about the storyline(I did with Summit Strike). Then they took too long from GR2 Summit Strike to the GRAW series. They need some type of system like call of duty(2 companies making the games title every year, like COD5 came out and now MWF2 is out this year)
