some people play recon to have fun. it doesn't make them simpletons, it's a different genre of gamer. i left my old squad because playing the game became too serious. Now the squad i'm in, we are all laid back. we battle with the squad, and we battle with other teams just for fun. We could care less about leaderboards, and stats. We all have careers, and play Recon and other games on our free time. On the weekends, we all get drunk enjoy some friendly matches.

The AI in GR (notice I didn't say GRAW) may have been a bit to be desired on the recruit level was 100 times more smarter after IT was released (especially on the elite level) and at least works better than some teams do in TvT competition (I've been that route too).

I don't know if you were trying to prove me wrong or what but you just reinforced my point. And yes, I think your view of "fun" is skewed.

So, congratulations... I guess?

There are certainly a lot of people that can't have "fun" unless they are being competitive. Of course, there are a lot of people that would say those people have the skewed sense of "fun." Wink2

If I am in the mood to be competitive, I'll play adversarial, because then I find that a fun way to "relax" (though I am not sure it is ever relaxing Veryhappy).

Often, though, the most fun and relaxing games for me are just hanging out in a co-op game with friends and joking around.

Of course, then you have playing adversarial in a room with all friends where you split up your gang and take on each other. Those are the most hilarious. Too Happy

I can certainly understand why in some case real competition can make games more fun. What I don't get are people who think they're actually accomplishing something in life by getting good at a video game or working for countless hours on increasing a number on a leaderboard/elite rank/prestige level/etc.

I didn't prove your point. One persons fun is another persons idea of BS. I like fishing and think it's fun even if I don't catch anything. Ms. K might think it worthless and can't stand anyone who does, but that does not mean it isn't.

Whether or not someone plays Coop or TvT and which is more fun is irrelevant and matters only to those who play each. There are competitions for both and they are played for fun just as much as for the competition.

Yeah, you did prove my point. I guess you didn't read the last line in my post. I'll post it again for you:

Just my opinion.

I agree that major things should be resolved in the next version, before I would consider buying it.

I agree that GRAW should stick with the "slower" gameplay.

But also I was really surprised how "downgraded" the online version feels compared to the single player.
It's like watching LEGO men fight (System: PS3)

Jumping shouldn't be on, but falling of ledges and other objects should.
Climbing obstacles, like in RB6.

But the aiming is horrible, the games I've played online were rather random, the only one getting a lot of kills was someone stationary and just waiting for some to run into their aim, instead of aiming around.

They should look over the shoulders of RB6, but not making it into another RB6.

I feel the game evolves with each release or update.

1: Menu systems is getting better and is far better then many other games released.

2: Achievement system is getting better.

3: Maps are getting better and some of the old maps we all love are made available.

4: Multi player games are better in GRAW2 against GRAW1. I see less spawn killing and a better ranking system in GRAW2 not to mention less lag even though they could improve.

5: Lighting and effects have come along way

6: I feel we have an even mix of moving into some buildings/structors even moving up and over objects has come a long way.

7: Communication is far more stable and less issues have been noticed by myself in game and the lobby

8: Patches and fixes for glitches etc seem to flow making things even better

9: Single play has become far more achievable for all skill levels and length gives me a feeling of value for money.

Items i would like to see addressed:

1: Customer relations and release information needs to be addressed
2: Clan matches. Whilst we have Clan menus and clan games a ladder of some sort would be awesome. Removing the need to use external websites.

3: AIM speed to me feels a little slow but im 39 years young so maybe its my reflexes.

4: Content between consoles should always be the same. The xbox has it and PS3 does not is just plain unfair.

Items i would like to debate:

1: Remove the none ranked games and make all games ranked based on true skill. I was thinking maybe a little like the COD4 Rank system with out the need to achieve a rank before you can use a weapon. I find the GRAW2 rank system over complicated and a little unfair to higher ranked players.

2: Allow clans to play ranked matches as a team. I dont mean enable host control but allow a clan to open a ranked match and other clans then can join and play if they decide to.
