I love Graw2 and just want to know if there are any serious clans, or clan battle sites to play other than GameBattles. The ladders are dead plus I don't have a team to play on. I am 25. Can anyone help or advise other wise?

the ladders are pretty much dead everywhere.

digital combat is a site that started with gr and revolved around it but is now more heavy with cod4. there is a turnament going on now in graw2 but other than that is a ghost town also.

i know that if another ghost recon came out or a game that would ever compare with tactics it would pick up on it. there are people there that do still play graw and a group that plays ogr and grit on fridays.

The GRAW games really didnt have the legs of the other Ghost Recon games. On paper GRAW and GRAW2 seemed to have alot of things that would provide alot of longevity to multiplayer despite the obvious watering down of the gameplay. Especially GRAW2. Lots of maps, thousands of gametype variations and clan support. But the thing about the hardcore fans of the entire franchise, the people that the clan matches for 18 months +, is that they primarily stick to one gametype. Ie they play Siege or SS or LMS. And those gametypes have been diluted and made more user friendly.

Now I understand why this was done and initially it proved successful. Lots more people played GRAW and GRAW2 online. But after 3-4 months the problems started. People stopped playing the games because there was no depth in the gametypes they loved. This really must be taken onboard for the next Ghost Recon. At the very least each gametype must have multiple spawns and better positioned spawns. If not then the next Ghost Recon will die as quickly as GRAW 2 did.

We're still getting 3 games a week on the Gamebattles graw 2 ladder (the eu version).

Hey Paladin, I need to stop reading your posts. That sniper with the ghillie on the picture makes me really miss the ghillie suit.

Does anyone know what ever happened to TeamCompete?

I used to battle on there when I was with AmmoSpecs, then the site started charging for subscriptions and everyone bailed off the site.

TeamCompete was easily the best site, much much better than gamebattles is, was or ever will be. The decision to charge all teams to play there was a disaster. But I think they are coming back soon. Which will be good. Id love to see GB rot and die.

On the guille suit, yeah man I loved that thing. With all the feedback asking for it, I'd be shocked if it wasn't included in the next Ghost Recon.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if they didn't put it in the next one. Kind of pecemistic due to the fact we've been asking for it for so long and still haven't seen it return. Although, if rumors are true that RSE responsible for the original recon and island thunder are making the next one(SP and MP), then there is still hope of the greatest thing ever seen in Recon(ghillie suit) making a comeback.

And if they do bring it back, I really do hope in the opening video of the game, that we get to see the sniper stand up like in the video from one of the original Recon titles. Don't remember if it was GR, GRIT for PC or Xbox.

Theres a scene in Tears of the Sun which is very 'GR' ..... sorry totally OT but that just reminded me of it and made me smile

Tears of the Sun was a great movie. Pity it didnt do better at the box office.

Are you talking about the scene where the village girl goes to get water from the bank and the SEALS come out of the water and grab her? Very classic scene.

I also love the scene where the SEALS infiltrate that village where the rebels were executing the villagers and the two marksmen are up in the trees sniping silenced, while the rest crawl up and move in silenced and clear the area out. That's how I wish Ghost Recon was more like.
