Greetings, UBI Forums/GRAW2 Community.
I just bought GRAW2 for the PS3. I'm using the program in single-user mode, and I'm trying to complete the CIUDAD JUAREZ convoy escort assignment. Is there any way to get better control of the M134 minigun? The pilot of the helo asks Capt. Mitchell to man the M134 minigun to supress enemy ground fire; and the proceeds to ruin Mitchell's attempts to supress the hostile ground fire! I realize that a certain amount of evasive flying is called for when you're taking hostile ground fire. But when the pilot of the aircraft, asks someone to man the gun; shouldn't that pilot do whatever he can to help the gunner HIT WHATEVER TARGETS HE CAN? |

Keep trying, it might take you a few tries to get it. Try it on a lower difficulty at first, that will give an idea of where and what to shoot at certain times. This part can get tough on the hardest difficulty.

I hated those gun ship missions on GRAW1 - HATED THEM I TELL YOU!!
When it came up on GRAW2 I was resigned to a couple of hours of flying the same minute over and over again. I have a thing about doing games I like through on the hardest possible difficulty first time round. Sad I know. On GRAW2 though, I did this one first attempt. I damn near cried in relief. Must have been the hours of unwanted practice on GRAW1. tips: from my patchy memory 1) Keep the gun firing at all times, without letting it overheat. That means easing on and off the trigger in a rhythmic way. If you let the barrels stop spinning, it takes too long to get them going again when a target comes up. 2) Hit the trucks (I think there are fuel trucks in the convoy) not the jeeps, they blow up and take the jeeps with them. Try and hit the one in front as it hinders the one behind. 3) At the exit to the tunnels start firing into the tunnels before you see the trucks and keep the fire rate up. 4) The pilot does bank the chopper to "help" you, so you need to take that into account when you aim. Take your finger off the left trigger when you train the gun through its arcs as it will move quicker. |

Yeah the GRAW 1 helicopter missions were 10x worse.. The 2nd one almost got me to quit playing the game.
I don't remember the mission in GRAW 2 in as much detail as bluefox does, but another tip is that you really want to take out the RPG guys as soon as they pop up. If I remember correctly, they're helpfully outlined in bright red boxes. Once they're down you don't have nearly as much to worry about. |

I'm sick of losing this mission. Whenever I blow up one of the jeeps next to my convoy it blows up 1 of my convoy and i fail the mission. How do I get past this mission?
