For anyone that has played and completed the new Caves mission I need a little pointer.

Anyone who's not played it, read at your own risk b/c there are some spoilers!!!

Okay, my friend and I are playing this as 2 player, and it took us a while to get the truck before it escapes, but we've gotten that and we work our way around the outer left side of the map and sweep in a circle until we come to Robert whom we must rescue. Along the way there are few houses that have soldiers you must kill. The house I'm having trouble with is the 2nd house you come to before you come to the hidden weapons cache in the caves. We have killed every soldier we can find, but our map still shows the house as a red oval meaning that we still have someone to kill or something. On our objectives screen it says to eliminate the patrol or whatever, but we honestly have ran all over the map and killed everyone we can find. Are we just missing one idiot soldier who's hiding behind some bush, or is there something we must do with that house that we're missing? It was driving us crazy last night, and ironically we killed our VIP in the process. It was actually pretty funny b/c we got frustrated and started throwing grenades at the house to try and blow it up or something and while in the middle of throwing a frag our VIP ran up and stood on the porch! Doh!

Anyway, we're going to attempt it again tonight, but wanted to make sure we're not missing some obvious piece that we overlooked.

Dont worry about the red box after you clear the area. I have finised the mission several times and those red boxes sometimes pop up when we have cleared the area -especially one red box happens to appear most of the time. Just continue the mission but be carefull bringing the escort back, as he tends to get in your line of fire especially if your near the cliff..Good Luck

Thanks. I was just concerned that I would not be able to extract him or not, and unlock the achievement for completing the mission. We'll try again. thanks for the help.

From the description of your problem I'd say you have probably missed a rebel soldier somewhere.
They like to hang out sometimes and do nothing until they see you.
Caves is a pretty good sized map with lots of trees and bushes. It is easy to miss the AI if they don't come out to confront you.
I've done this mission a bunch of times now and I haven't ever seen one of the red objective indicators remain after we had cleared the area of all soldiers.
That doesn't mean that it isn't just an odd glitch.
Every time I have done the mission it was with at least 4 people so it was a bit easier to find all the rebels.

The same thing happened to my friend and me. Don't worry. If you make sure everyone is dead you get the achievement. I did.

Checkout underneath the trees, some times the enemies are laying down under tree branches.
At least they are doing so playing on hard mode.

You should find 2 grenadiers to the far west nearby the lodge before the secret caves.
They are well concealed.
Those two buggers were the main reason to our failure.
