Wait a minute. How can this game be rated. It needs to be finished to be rated and GR4 is slated for release until at least April 2010. Something fishy here.

it may just be just a target classifaction.... or it actually might be playable in some form or fashon.

im really hoping for a Mature rating and the title predator sounds like we might see some jungle action, "bad word" all this speculating tidbits does my head in.

we are forever only going to get tidbits of info from other sources instead of UBI, this wait will be the hardest.

it also has me to believe that this game is near/was finished because it was originally planned to release early next year by the french PR (Gilemount).

its just way to early to tell or even speculate

Great find, and I'm glad that it seems to be rated Mature again. My only gripe? The name. Ghost Recon Predator? That's the best that they could come up with...I mean come on.

Not sure how the classification system works, but I'd guess (please note "guess" before flaming) that it makes sense to give an outline to censors of what will be shown.

i.e from a text description of the level of violence, language and likely images a classification is given which no doubt can change later. Once that is known it's worth spending the real money to develop the actual game.

It's a good find, and if not bogus, suggests the game has got to the story-board stage, graphic design is well underway, and now the developers are verifying the age ratings across the world in order to predict sales volume. Once this is sorted they will possibly amend the content that gives the rating and then get cracking on with the game in earnest.

Wow, one graphic and I sure can assume a lot. No apologies for that, I'm allowed to dream.

FWIW ghostreconpredator.com was registered by Ubisoft back in June...

I fully expect that in multiplayer we'll be able to turn invisible and/or set off a mini-nuke when we're about to die.

I just read the article online and came in here to see what's being said. There's quite a few websites reporting this. joystiq.com, gamespot.com, destructoid.com, thatvideogameblog.com, vg247.com, n4g.com etc. Looks like news has been traveling fast.

From what I've been reading, everyone is speculating that the game is going back to it's more stealth oriented roots. I guess the name Predator would seem to imply that.

I'm pretty sure the word predator was in circulation long before the movie Wink

I'm pretty sure, "if it bleeds, we can kill it."

Veryhappy

I think it should be called "Ghost Recon vs. Predator".

Yeah the game is at the very least playable, especially considering it was scheduled to come out in March. So they should have no problem rating it.

Plus even if by some weird chance it isn't, by this time the storyline is done, all the main death scenes and other cut scenes are done, how the people die cpu and human controlled, all the ways the are killed and the langauge is also all done. So it wouldn't be hard for the board to rate it.

Also don't get your hopes up that it is anything near mature, considering it is the Australian classification board and they are so anal it isn't funny. Their ratings are always higher, just look what they did with Left 4 Dead 2. Everywhere else it will probably be rated teen as usual.

March??

You might want to keep an eye on the sticky thread, we updated it some time ago with the information the games been moved to financial year 2010-11, there's no way you'll see the game in March

i think you missed the "it was" in that sentence Ms K, it had previously been stated even by UBI PR reports that it "was" scheduled until 1st/2nd quarter of 2010 until Splinter Cell Conviction got delayed due to other holidays titles competition

cant be bothered to find the main link but here is a quick link

So I would have to guess the end of 2010 for release. All because COD4:MW2 pushed back Conviction....
