I decided a step by step guide would be helpful to those who are struggling to find this option, the ironic thing was when I went to go into the game to write everything down I forgot where it was and couldn’t find it so thanks to PALADIN who was collared on msn and promptly reminded me lol
Load up the game………..
Select - Multiplayer Select – Xbox Live Select – Play Game
At this point your ‘Identity’ box will appear asking you to select your gamertag by pressing A, do this once ONLY to view the second box which offers 2 options…….
In the bottom left and right of the box you have A to select and X to edit profile.
Press X to edit profile
You can now see the edit profile menu Select - Player Options Within the player options menu at the bottom of the list you will find the option to ‘Disable Download Content’ Use your triggers to select No (this is the default setting) – To use download content Or YES – to disable DLC
Push A to accept

Just wanted to add (for those that are not clear):
If you are hosting rooms and have the downloaded content "ON" - you will only be able to have players in your room that have downloaded the extra maps.
With downloaded content "OFF" while hosting - you will not be able to play the extra maps however all players will be able to play in your room.
For those of you searching for games to join: If you have "MATCH MY PACKAGES" turned "ON" in the search filter - you will only search for hosts that match your DLC packages. So, if you have downloaded the DLC and selected to "MATCH MY PACKAGES" you will only see hosts that have the DLC turned on.
just to tell this does not help for the new DLC,have all my satting as you say.downloaded every dlc again several times... recoverd my gamertag deleted my saves on my HD... an sorry to say still i cant play in a room with the new maps.I can still host the same maps...so til you fix this problem or at least show me or made a upgrade that works for everyone ..i calling my billcard company to stop this payment...I will pay for the package when it work foa all,I spend 3-4 hours now posting and trying out several ways to solve my problems ...until now i giving up...and i put my new burnout paradise disc in,but it still sucks,becourse I realy like the new maps ,so i hope i can play them some day,,hopfully in the near futures... only thing I haven't tryed now is to delete evry package i downloaded.but then i'm not sure i have to pay for them again?? some ide how to solve my problems please give me a noteroypalmer1@msn.com
