The new maps are good. Open and quite big. What Ghost Recon is about. They are so noticably different from the maps GRAW 2 shipped with. Some of the classic map remakes are amazing ( apart from riverbed which isnt riverbed ).

And they really suit first person too. More about angles, skill and tactics than finding an nice rock to hide behind.

And i hope the devs and publishers take note that alot of fans prefer the new maps. Open and large is liked alot more than small and linear.

...and then there's Island. Big Grin

I only ran through each one once, but the maps look nice. I'm not a big fan of VIP escort/defend missions, so I was a little disappointed to see three those in the new campaign missions. Depot is my favorite mission so far, although I got slaughtered by an APC pretty right at the beginning of Ghost Town so I haven't gotten a good feel for that mission yet. As far as the maps themselves go, I think Bridges is going to be a standout, or it would be if most of the siege bases were not at the edges of the map.

I would actually like it if some of the GRAW 1 maps were included. This might seem redundant to some people, but I like the better control set up of GRAW2, as well as the slightly enhanced graphics.

You're the reason we can't have nice things.

Personally i think you guys did a great job on all of the maps and especially the coop 2 maps. highly detailed and the story line is decent. coop2 ftw!

Right i've only played 1 co-op mission, Depot, but i have to say it was excellent and i really got that old Ghost Recon feeling. Hard as hell but doable. Plus it great to be able to decide in which order to do your objectives. Fantastic mission.

I just hope that RSE are making the full Ghost Recon next time. They can make great missions when they were primarily in charge of the multiplayer only. Imagine what they can do with access to the full game. Cant wait for GRAW3/GR4 if RSE are at the helm. Im confident they can bring back that lost Ghost Recon feeling.

Yeah i've only played Ghost Town and Bridges and it seems that RSE has upped the difficulty a few notches. It doesn't look like i'll be able to do these missions alone like i could with the previous coop pack. Finished Ghost Town but not Bridges and i played with 2 other guys.

I saw Braybot was in my room for a few minutes but he left. Sorry man but i was in a private chat and had to wait for 2 other friends who found out they couldn't join my room because they didn't have the first coop DLC. They had to download that aswell before i could start.

I like both missions but what the hell is a laptop doing somewhere on the ground in a jungle while it's raining?! Common guys.

PS, is it me or does camo work alot better on these new maps? Japanese camo is just perfect for Ghost Town. Well done guys, well done. Clap

And oh yeah, uhmmm... Any news on a hardcore mode? Big Grin

I Still think the camos are 2-3 shades lighter than the environments. Thats something that drastically needs sorting for future GR games.

True but it has improved don't ya think? I mean just look at the original GRAW2 maps where you almost look like a friggin glow stick.

Too bad we still have all that urban grey armor...

If it has improved it must be for certain camos only. They still stand out a mile. I mean we played with a woodland camo last night on stronghold and bridges and our soldiers might as well have been wearing snow camos. There is something seriously affecting the camos in GRAW 2, maybe its the HDR lighting. Even black camo looks like a washed out Grey.

Can i ask for some much much darker camos in a new DLC please. And please definately address this problem for the next Ghost Recon. I think COD4 has it down to a tee. The guille suit makes you near invisible in grass and foilage and the US Marine camos blend in very effectively on Middle East type maps.

While I totally agree with camos not blending in well enough, I thought American DCU looked great on Depot and Crye looks pretty good on Road Block and Island.

But yes, I did notice a lot on maps where I am walking in a dark shadowed area and can't see anything around me, but my character is still very visible.

1st thing - great coop pack - lots of gameplay at a great price.

ok, we were playing coop mission on stronghold. We took out all the secondary objectives and guarded the vip for quite along time. Has anyone gotten a successful mission on this level yet?

I thought I read somewhere that for one of the missions they had to search out one last guy that was chillin' in a room somewhere...that could be what's going on for you. Smile

EDIT: Found it! Here's what he said: "We thought there was a glitch on stronghold when no more enemies entered the base but the vip wouldn't follow us out. We later found 1 enemy seemingly stuck in a chicken coop type building and dispatched him, allowing us to extract."

Hey mucho gracias Kimi! We got the achievement last night. I think you are right on the money, all enemies need to be eliminated and if one gets stuck running into a chicken coop then you have to search them out and elimate all of them.

I agree completely. This is what we've been waiting for for a very long time.

That's the one mission we haven't finished yet. What do you mean that it "isn't riverbed"? It seemed like the old Riverbed to me.

Yes. Big maps and first-person are all about tactics and precision, which is the heart and soul of Ghost Recon.

Yeah, we got it with just two of us. We just held out for a long time while the waves of troops kept coming. I used AS56 auto-rifle, and my brother used MRC. I switched to A4 with grenade launcher (picked up from enemy drop) to take out the armored column (and the ADAT). After that it was easy, but watch out for spawning enemies as you approach the towers in the corner areas of the map.

Yeah those kinds of missions suck. Guess these devs have a hard on for non stealth missions. oh well, rogue warrior comes out in November, i'll just keep looking forward to that.

The whole camo issue has pissed me off since GRAW1. I liked the way the camo looked on the orginal, island thunder, and it wasn't too bad on GR2, and SS. But it seems like on GRAW 1/2 they decided to make the camo almost worthless. Woodland camo is faded, and too damn bright. I think the only really good camo, that works well on almost all the maps is the Canadian camo.

I just hope, IF they ever bring back the ghillie suit, that they don't screw that up and make it worthless. Ghillie suit on COD4 is perfect. It serves its purpose very well. I hope the devs learn from that game's success.

Great maps and missions!!! Well worth the money I paid.

We had to run these missions over several times in order to get the acheivements, and the replay value is much better than the CC 1 download.

These maps involved communication, discipline, teamwork, and being a good shot to get things accomplished.

I've only played the co-op missions and have not been able to run the elimination matches due to in part by the lengthy missions.

New weapons would have been a great companion with these new maps. What ever happened to the "lonewolf" weapons anyway?

Made things a bit too easy...for those who love to 'cheat', saying that loosely thought.

But it was found to be a bit too much of a extra advantage for multi play.

All things have a beginning and a end, where are you at this moment...?
