im just wondering what gohst recon is about and what the story line is ive been playing rainbow six for awhile now and have loved all the games im just wondering what gohst recons like

Look around to see if you can find the Ghost Recon Gold Edition for PC. It will have GR plus both expansion packs. Not to mention the thousands of user made mods.

It is a small squad Tac-Sim that won GOTY awards that is played in open spaces instead of CQB. The Ghosts are Green Berets from the 5th SFG (a real unit no less) but from D Bn (not a real unit). You have to think about what you do and you just can't run all over the map trying to shoot the enemy. You end up dead when you do.

To be honest, white_knight is right! This is NOT a 1st person shooter and that's why I like it so much. It requires a LOT of thinking - stategizing.

for me the greatest part is the "TEAM" concept. Ubi and Tom Clancey really got that down. the idea of going out w/ friends is awesome (meant in more than 1 way)

+ it's really quite hard when you try to achieve the higher stats for your player.

if you'd like to play co-op , there's another thread to look into "Looking for some Multiplayer Friends." Join in!!! and have some fun! Just a note, the co-op missions are just that. Not the kind where you shoot your own teammates for fun cuz there's nothing else. Oh no... there's plenty "else" to be done on these missions, plenty.

even though i played the original gr games i still think the advaced warfighter games are much better , i mean island thunder was absolutly terrible and put me of gr for quite sometime but when i played graw and graw 2 my opinion totalty changed...

as for green berets check out the royal marine commandos they actualy do wear green berets
