When I started the game I had no problems. On the 3rd mission, when I turned a certain way, the screen turns black except for certain objects like enemy flashpoints. If I move, sometimes it corrects itself. Sometimes when I look through the scope it happens. It seems random. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Don't turn that certain way and don't look into the scope.

You may have either a corrupted game install or old/corrupted video drivers.

Make sure you have the newest drivers first for your card and if you are using a flat panel monitor make sure you are running the game in the native resolution of your monitor. Check to make sure the in game refresh rate is the same as your desktop.

If it is not any of that, then reinstall the game. If that doesn't fix it, make sure your video card is not overheating (use Riva Tuner or the like to check temp).

I have that too in GRAW 1 (not in GRAW2).
Other players told me it is Vista. Vista and GRAW 1 don't like eachother. And there is no fix. As you said it's not all the time. It is in some missions.. It also happened in multiplayer on some of the maps. So suddenly you are 'blind' when you try to look in that direction... So, get XP or live with this handicap.

i had the exact same problem!!everything was right until mission 2. in mission three we get blackouts or ugly black screens!!!

I've even tried to send an e-mail to support center with my dx-diag info. and they replied by saying "we cant help-your specification seems correct, only thing we can suggest is run your game in compatibility mode ie right click the icon>properties>compatibility>windows xp"

wtf!!!! it didn't work for me!

so the best solution is!!try to muddle through mission 3, mission 4 is perfect(until check point 2, coz i havn't reached any further now)

hey be careful!! mission 3, checkpoint 6, is the tuffest area i have encountered until now!!!!

so bottom line is, just pass mission 3 somehowwwwwwww!!!(u will be busted in check point 6, muaahahahaaha, i cleaned it on 27th try).....
