Kimi_,
I could kick myself for suggesting what I am about to ask...but couldn't they just make a small quick patch gifting the achievement out? Say, maybe they just give it to anyone who signs on to live and loads the game. seriously, most people are not going to be able to get this achievement thanks to the glitch, so gifting it wouldn't be wrong in that vein. Is this suggestion still so much work or really so wrong? I'm just curious, and you can answer with a one word answer if you are not in the mood for explanations, but please at least ask the powers that be about gifting it out. Thanks. *sighs* |

Kimi_,
Well, then what about Microsoft saying that your company could erase a person's achievements for your game, thus letting us play the game over? Is Microsoft lying, or does your company just not want to exercise that option? On one hand we have Microsoft saying it is entirely possible and within your power to reset achievements, and on the other hand we have you (UBISOFT) telling us the customer that you do not want to bother fixing this in any way shape or form. It's not fair to us, your paying customers. We purchased your game with the intention of enjoying it thoroughly and we helped you guys out by pointing out a glitch (a long time ago, I might add). You guys didn't jump on it in a timely manner. So you drug it out to the point where you simply frustrate the living spit out of the customer, and then it's like we are the ones wrong for feeling the way we do. Yes, we understand that economically you guys don't want to afford developer time to fix this...but that shouldn't be our problem. We completed our part of the bargain by purchasing and playing your games. Why aren't you folks completing your end of the bargain by giving us a quality experience free of programming pitfalls. Our only frustration should be in playing games at harder difficulties, not attempting to beat programmers at a game that only they master (which is faulty coding in this case). I would rather play the game over than be subjected to the belittling experience of purchasing something that was broken, only to have the manufacturer tell me that there was nothing they would do about it. Perhaps what I am about to say may be considered strong language to some, but these are the types of scenarios that push people together to the point of class action law suits. Car makers have recalls to fix possible problems that weren't caught on the assembly line, or sometimes problems brought to their attention later on, something very similar to what we are experiencing here, right now. The behavior of your company with regards to how they are handling this matter is undeniably unprofessional and if we could rate you on customer satisfaction, well, I guess you might understand then where we were coming from. Personally, these are the types of situations where having a governing body would work for the customer but against you, as they would likely force you to fix this. i can't believe the way we have been treated throughout this debacle. |

Wow, I logged in because I haven't been following it much since they have basically said it can't be fixed (I still have my doubts).
Yes I'm still P.O'd about this but I've all but given up on it. I appreciate the effort that some of you are putting into this. Myself and the other users on 360voice that are locked out of this achievement haven't touched it since and we have been recommending people NOT to play it or to make sure they do it all in the correct order. Also Kimmi, I haven't heard a resolution to the PM i sent you a few weeks ago. |

I'm playing catch up on the threads, did someone say we can remove our game data play the game over then it will give us the final "gold star" ?

aZero_to_36,
Sorry, but I haven't heard a thing to that effect. The only thing I know of is an offer I was made by someone who was not an employee of UBISOFT. I was told there was an "easy fix" to this issue. The proposed fix didn't sound very ethical to me, and I wasn't sure of the ramifications of using the "fix". I shared this "supposed" fix with Kimi_, but I'm unsure if she is investigating it or not. I really don't know if anything is going on at all. UBISOFT is also in the midst of a new game release, so I'm not sure if Kimi_would even be allowed to allocate time to our issue. I hate to sound negative, but I'm just trying to be realistic about this. I'm surprised that Kimi_ has answered us this far. |
