Since we are able to choose our headgear, and facepaint on our idenity, I would like to be able to choose if I want to wear a ghillie suit, or just the standard BDU getup. Whether you throw it on to look cool or not, it will make a big difference(especially if we can choose the color of the burlap on the suit)exp. brown, sage, light green, light brown, grey, white, mixture of different color tones. This would also work very well if we are able to choose our character appearance in the lobby before the next match. It would be too much of a pain to leave the room when you're wearing sage for the last jungle type map you played and the next map is now a desert one. The ghillie has to match the enviroment. I don't want the suit so I look cool, I want the suit so I'm harder to spot when I'm near some bushes, or crouched by a tree far away from the other team. I want the other team to try to find me as I pick them off, not look across the map and see the typical human figure silloette. I want someone to have to think twice about if they are seeing me, or a bush. I want the other team to run past me and not notice me. I want to dissapear into my surroundings when I'm sniping so I can concentrate less on how much I'm sticking out, and concentrate more on spotting targets. |

I'm just talking about single player...

Well as far as singleplayer goes, as long as singleplayer is done like it was in the old days before this Advanced Warfighter BS those frenchy french men decided to make. If singleplayer is how it was in the old, back when we played through the same missions we played online in coop, then I'd love for there to be a ghillie suit, as long as it has an affect on the AI. There's no point in taking cover by some bushes only to have the AI with their super human eyesight and get taken out by unsighted AK from over 200yrds away.
Also, in singleplayer, the ghillie suit would have to fit the story, or the mission and the gameplay. If you can command your squad to go where you want them to go, and they allow you to go post up somewhere and over see their movements....perfect. Last thing I want is to send them to an area, and I go somewhere else to snipe, and they leave their position to regroup on me. That's happened alot in graw1 and 2. It's like they have abandonment issues, can't be too far away from squad lead too long. But no, in singleplayer, I don't want it to just look cool. I want it in singleplayer only if it actually works against the AI, and as long as we get to play the same open missions as in coop. The current hollywood type singleplayer linear BS that those damn frenchy french men made would make it pointless to even have a ghillie suit. |

That's exactly what I want too. I just wasn't sure if you wanted it to have an effect as well.
You know, if they bring back permanent injury and limping, you could always just pop them in the knee caps and run away. And laugh as they tag along half-crippled. Try and regroup now I also want to see a much more extensive list of commands. For being a strategy-based warfare game, you're pretty dang limited on number of commands. You can tell them where to go, whether they're on safety or on trigger, who to shoot at, and nothing else. Limited to telling them location and when to attack, nothing more. I want to be able to tell my team when to go prone and when to stand and when to play Simon Says. I can't count the number of times I've been in recon mode, trying to get as close to the enemy as possible before engaging, and one of my guys stands straight up and flat-out blows our cover. It's just annoying. For being Ghosts, they aren't really that great at remaining hidden. They're almost worse than a standard Army ground troop three weeks out of basic training. I want to have many more command options, for example being able to plan engagements. They do it that way in Rainbow Six, why can't they in Ghost Recon? Tell your squad to take out one guy and they'll kill him before you have a chance to give them another target. But what if there are three targets and I want my guys to all pop up at the same time and take the enemies out in one ambush shot? Impossible. What if I want them all to focus fire on one truck or one helicopter or one tank? Still impossible. Advanced Warfighter has fallen way too far from the tree. It fallen so far from the tree ( co-op collections excluded ) that its not even in the same forest now. |

Mexico has forests? I thought it was just one big ol' desert.
Meh, they're not being Ghosts, and they're not exactly doing reconnaissance... Advanced Warfighter simply needs to be a separate intellectual property. Very good game, but a terrible Ghost Recon game. Salt in the wound, in my honest opinion. I have one thing I really want in the next Ghost Recon game; Smooth control response from the Analog stick.
GR games have always had one major drawback. They all make you feel like you are playing the game with a digital controller instead of an analog controller. It is impossible to make the reticle or the crosshairs move in a smooth fashion. Instead of moving smoothly the reticle and crosshairs jump around in digital increments forcing the user to tap the analog stick like a D-pad instead of using it as it was intended. This makes precise aiming very difficult. This stops me from playing GRAW 2 more often because it just isn't fun to get shot because I couldn't make the friggin reticle line up fast enough. It is frustrating trying to play a game that has slower reflexes than I do. |

I've never had to tap it around in my life, on any Ghost Recon game.
Never had one problem with it, always pushed it in the direction I wanted and it flowed smoothly that way. "ConViction is so different, you wonder what makes Ubisoft think this should even be called a sequel to the critically acclaimed and groundbreaking series." – IGN.com |

Only the GRAW games had the awful incremental control system. OGR - GRSS had pretty smooth control system. Why they implemented the new control system is in GRAW is beyond me. It's bloody awful. Maybe it looked Ok on paper. I can imagine the meeting dicussing it: "Right guys we're aiming for a more casual, mainstream audience this time. These guys can't really shoot and dont have any form of hand to eye co=ordination. So what can we do to make it easier for them. I know lets make the control system move in small jumps so they can tap the stick to move. Dam I'm a genius, wheres my goddamn medal." Or something along those lines. |

yeah i know what you mean you should be able to change the sensitivity like on cod4 and halo3 i play with mine very high on them two games they have got it on rainbow2 but its still slow at the top level i hope they change this for the next ghost recon |

|
Didn't the original and Island Thunder kind of do that? I remember getting hit and my character breathing really hard, running slower and kind of limping. |
||||
|
lmao! lol! holy ****, you are damn right. |
||||
|
I also hate it when I'm posted up in a nice spot, well concealed and what gives away my position is when I slightly move my aim, and my character makes a drastic movement which is easily seen from far away. |

GR did have a specific injury system. If shot in the leg (not a killing shot mind you) you would limp. Shot in the arm, your aiming abilities decreased and all wounds had an effect on your breathing. It was present in GR, DS and while the limp was temporarily removed for IT, it was put back in after fan outrage (at least for the PC) via a patch. "Do not build your community around a game.... We need to see better use of camo in the environments. This video from GR2 illustrates what I mean.

Holy **** man, I can't believe I forgot about that half-ghillie suit. That thing was badass, I used to love creeping up on people with that. Oh damn, so the excuses the devs have given for not being able to bring back the ghillie is a load of donkey mess. If they were able to make a half ghillie on the old xbox, then they can make an amazing full ghillie on the 360 or PS3. And for those who say the ghillie has no place in recon, they really need to watch that video, and play the original and island thunder and see how well the ghillie works. |

Lol, people who say ghillies have no place in recon obviously don't even know what either of the words mean...
They probably think ghillie is some type of gorilla monster and recon is a kind of criminal. "ConViction is so different, you wonder what makes Ubisoft think this should even be called a sequel to the critically acclaimed and groundbreaking series." – IGN.com |

I have recently played the Original Ghost Recon. When my XBOX crashed on me I gave it to a friend from work along with all the games. When I found out that GR was backwards compatible on my 360, I borrowed it from him. My experience the second time around reminded me of my experiences the first time I played the game. I had to move in order to get the pips out of the way to begin with so I could SEE what was in the crosshairs. In order to get lined up in the first place I had to do the exact same thing which was to TAP the analog stick. Moving the stick quickly works just fine to get close to the target but to actually move the target into the crosshairs I had to TAP TAP TAP to get it there without overshooting in one direction or the other. I am not stupid and I have no special disabilities. I am every bit as good as the average gamer and probably a bit more to boot. There is nothing wrong with my equipment. The games are just very poorly designed when it comes to targeting. |

Well of course you're not stupid.
Would you say it's just your method as opposed to an actual flaw in the game? I understand what you're saying but I honestly have no trouble targeting. Most of the time when I'm aiming, I move the crosshairs to target as quickly as possible and then slow down when I get close and let it flow on target, either that or I place the crosshairs in a specific location and wait for my target to pass through them. I would say I have less than amazing skills in sniping, and I'd even say I kinda suck at it sometimes on certain games, but I honestly have no trouble and I can't recall a single time on any Ghost Recon title that I've ever tapped the stick on target. It could just be me, maybe I thrive off of this flaw or something, lol. Paladin and others are agreeing with you so I guess it's just me. But I just want to be sure though, because I could swear there's nothing wrong with it. i never really had a problem with the aiming on the ghostrecon games till i played cod4 and then went back to playing graw2 its cos its really slow and yeah ive started with the taping thing cos i move the crosshairs and it dont get any where near were i wanted it to and some times if you turn like 180 to get a kill and you have to wait for the crosshair to chach up witch like so like some one sed befor its frustrating playing a game that cant keep up with your reflexes
