Anyone know a good website on what the ranking system is in GRAW and how it works? Not the TrueSkill ratings, but the Military ranks. I need a website that tells me how I advance and what advancing does.

Advancing in ranks doesn't change anything..I don't have a list to point you to though, sorry.

So the ranks private and corporal and the like are useless? Whats the difference between that and the TrueSkill number?

Try it yourself. I didn't belive it either until I saw it for myself. Why do you think it's that you see a bunch of people with clan tags in front of their names with levels 20 and above? If it was for the achievement, why would they just not keep going for the 25?

[+rsePrince] The ranking system is the more for a quick way for you to tell how experienced players are. You won't recieve a performance boost by being a General as opposed to being a Private. However, if you're a higher rank than someone else, you SHOULD be better than them, because ranking up isn't the easiest thing to do.

I don't know - I have shot people that are 7'- 10's with several rounds at close range that didn't die. They turn around and shoot me with 1 round and I die. They move faster, aim quicker, are more accurate with their gun and are almost unable to be killed. I swear it's like I'm shooting rubber bullets.

I will use the sniper rifle - not sure what the name is but it sounds like a canon when it goes off - it takes sometime 5 rounds to drop someone. That same person can drop me with one round using his sniper rifle.

If your telling me that they don't build up skill in their character - I would say your on crack and pass some to me so I can speed my game up.

You would also make my wife happy - she hates to hear me swear.

Okay, people have posted actual quotes from Devs that say people don't gain anything from the ranks in the game. The idea of that is just ridiculous and would completely unbalance the game. If you're having to unload on people to kill them and they happen to be a really high rank; chances are they're glitching, lagging, or using the bumper trick. Plus most of the people with high ranks in the game boosted their way to those ranks. You can ask any one on here that's been around for a while, they'll all tell you the same. The best players and the best competition are found in the Player Matches. One of the many reasons why high ranked people will boot lower ranks out of the room. Even though it's been proven that losing to a lower rank effects you the same as losing to someone of the same rank. There should be a thread that addresses all the stupid things are said in ranked rooms. It still cracks me up how so many people think that muting their mics somehow makes the map load faster and if you don't it'll lag out.
