Hello

When I try to start Graw 2 nothing happens.
I tried reinstalling my video drives and the game but no luck.

Im not sure if there is a logfile that may help me?
Im thinking it may be OS but Im not sure,
My system spec checks out according to the material detection app.

Heres the hardware I have
Win2k professional
Intel Duo dual Core E8400 3ghz
Directx 9.0c
2gb Ram
Nvidia 9400GT<- I read a post somewhere saying this graphics card may be a problem but others saying it was ok
I also saw another post saying for win2k , install dbghelp.dll (or something) but that did not do much good
Can anyone throw out any logs or advice?

Thanks for the reply.

I read through and think I match most of the requirements int hat.
The only think outstanding was the grahics card.
The post is over a year old and doesnt indicate mine is supported.
Im thinking This is the only thing which may be cuasing this.
Although I would at least expect it to start..

Oh dear. Well easy come easy go....

If you give up and don't get the card, you'll regret it! Graw1 was more of a challenge than GRAW2. Don't think GRAW2 wasn't challenging, but GRAW1 takes the cake.

this game is only made for xp/vista + u might not have directx 9 or 10

Hello. I'm a fairly novice user and recently loaded GRAW-2 PC. When I try to start the program, I get the following:

Failed setting up render device.

Physics : threaded

My requirements test suggests I need a better vid card, however, my system (64-bit Vista, 6 gb ram, 500 gb hard drive, Intel express chipset G31-G33) was bought Dec. 2008. Dell tells me that my card should suffice for this game. Any ideas? Any way to make this work or do I have to buy a different card?

i've got the same problem.
but:

my sys:
Pentium 4 CPU 3,2GHz
Win XP home
2,50 GB RAM
direct X 9.0c
msi nvidia 8600gts 512MB

the won't even start. no splsh screen, no black screen... nothing at all
it appears for 1sec in the task manager and was it...

i pruchased it over steam and downloaded it for 4 times now

I'm to lazy to go and look for video cards-- considering the many times I've done so-- but I don't think the 8600 is the card of choice for this game. I will say, get the right card for the game. If you follow my post above, you'll see the requirements for the game. If you like challenging shooters, you'll talk about GRAW1 to all your friends, and your great-grand-children!

but GRAW1 runs!!! i don't think GRAW2 won't start cause of the video card. because the latest patch for GRAW2 is younger then my video card!
steam updates every game to the latest version and this is 1.50... so it can't be the video card or ubisoft want that i regret it to studying game design so that i can go to montreal...

when I still had my MSI 8600gt, it worked fine with graw2... (I have the dvd-rom)
