Well, i DLed all the new content with a friend and we beat all the co-op maps but Stronghold and Swamp Airfield. Anyone have any tips on how to beat em? Airfeild, the only reason we cant beat that one is for some reason the secondary objective to destroy the comm tower and the radio and same time doesnt always work. We hit em at the same time and its a no go. Helicopter comes, we delay the radio a few until the charge on tower is set, same thing. Even had it say that both were complete yet the chopper still comes and then it says objective failed.......this is just annoying. Then we get to stronghold. Does the flow of guys ever end? We sit there on D and its non stop. Did this a few times and i think 15 minutes is longest we held out. Then we try having one of us take out camps yet guys still come from the ones we take over. Just doesnt seem possible, with 2 people. We cant even find games in which those maps are played, its always just the basic co-op maps. Anyone know of a hint or can even just help us sometime? Plz lemme know.

Thanks and Happy Killin

Strongold is VERY difficult with two people. I'm not sure it's even possible on "hard" difficulty with that size team.

The key with a small team is to gently push the VIP into another room where he's less exposed to fire. If you walk up to him slowly you can nudge him in the direction that you want him to go - just don't let him get up against a wall because he'll get "stuck".

You might want to read through the file linked below to get an idea of a couple of different 4-man team tactics for clearing this mission on "hard", then see if you can adapt one for two players.

On the host's system, select where it says "Campaign" in the game settings and hit the "customize" button (X on the 360 if I remember correctly). You can change the difficulty setting there.

It is certainly possible to beat Stronghold with just two people, as my brother and I did it when the maps first came out.

To push the VIP, you have to kind of "ram" into him. Just pushing him doesn't work as well, so instead you need to bump into him, then back up and bump into him again. This should allow you to push him into the side room and into the corner where he cannot get shot from the outside. Then each of you stand in each of the two interior doorways, preferably with auto-rifles, one looking right, and one looking left. Just keep in mind that sometimes the enemy will come in the back door as well, so be prepared for that. I usually stand in the middle interior doorway with an AS56 SAW, and then if they come in the back, I can usually hear them coming. After withstanding the onslaught, the rest is easy.

On the map Nowhere 1 person take a sniper Rifle and run up to the billboard on top of 2nd hill. The second person Take a M4SD w/ Grenade Launcher and go to the far back of the map and shoot up the Hill w/ the Road. The Sniper will take out any1 in the buildings and near the car lot. This works for me and my friends.

My guess for the reason you can't beat it is that the guy going to comms tower is either being spotted by someone while trying to set the charge, or they are destroying on of the planes in hangar, or they are attacking the people on the runway down by the truck. Me and my cousin have beaten that map several times without problems. The key is to take anyone out within 20yrds of the comms tower and the radio. Then making sure you plant the charge at the exact same time. Use the timer as a reference.

As far as stonghold, you have to have more than 2 people for that mission.

The devs were stupid in making these coop missions so hard that you have to have more than 2 people in a squad. I know it's supposed to be co-op, but with the singleplayer being so bad, you would think they would at least give us missions with secondary objective we can complete on our own. Sometimes I like to just play through missions on my own when non of my friends are on. Hey DEVS, next recon, give us more options so we can customize the coop missions and objectives.
