For the PC, GR had 2 mission/expansion packs, Desert Siege and Island Thunder. For the XBox, there was Island Thunder and Jungle Storm (that supposedly added the DS maps and such, but I couldn't say). GR 2 would be the sequel to GR, much as GRAW and GRAW 2 are, though GRAW2 should have been an expansion pack. But with Ubi's new business model, you are lucky to get an expansion pack. You will get a new game (even if it doesn't feel like it) every year.
I go on XBL and find a large amount of people still playing over a year later. I love the AW series and look forward and hope that they make a GRAW3 set for release late this year or early next year. E3 this summer would be a fantastic opportunity to announce something.
I really cannot see them not continuing the GR games. I really thought that R6V2 was a rehash of R6V. Nothing new. I think that HAWX looks fantastic and Col. Mitchell in the teaser gives me hope. Several of the people on XBL were not as impressed with R6V2 either and have come back to playing GRAW3 or COD4. Bottom line GRAW3 has to come next year at the latest.

Jungle Storm was a PS2 exclusive
On Xbox the DS maps were split between both GR & GRIT

GR Releases before xbox360 for PC etc where they as buggie?
Should i be playing the PC version and just drop the console versions?
Ihe only version of GR for the PC that I can honestly recommend is the Ghost Recon Gold Edition. Yes, it may be over 6 years old, but it is still playable and actually looks pretty good, even with the integrated graphics I have on my laptop (and it supports the resolution of the laptop too).
There is hope in the forum of another game that will be similar to GR and it may be headed to consoles too.
With the new HAWX stuff and with Captain Mitchell being talked with on the radio, it appears it is GR with the AW stuff in the sky. I can tell you that the flying is wack and totally arcade like from what I can see. You just don't fly a fast mover in between buildings.
If there is one we please use GRAW's single player campaign engine for the multiplayers aspect of the game.
Code the same great graphics, gameplay, environment, character modeling, movement as the campaign mode of GRAW 1 or 2, no 2 better yest because it is more upgraded of course.
Just imagine, those maps, environment or what have you if that was multiplayer and cooperative (drop in and out coop?). That would be insane if it looked like and make it non linear if you can go anywhere there in that realm.
GRAW's Single player campaign did have amazing graphics but the gameplay was awful. Your character was son unresponsive that it felt like you were battling your controller as well as the mexican rebels. But some of the environments from the GRAW campaign would be great for MP, better than the GRAW 2 campaign. What a forgettable experience that was.
I may have figured out why they made it so "clunky". First off think military realism. Ok, now would you be as quick as you want to in an environment like that? Things are just not pop out and shoot in the real world.
If they made the characters have quick movements it also could have made the pace more run and gun.
What they should work on is scaling down the main character on the screen. It is bigger than before and takes up an amount of peripheral. It is right when Mitchell is at a full sprint speed. That size.
Also, code a first person view with weapon ONLY when in corners. Then it zooms back to normal when you leave the corner.
