Ive only just started playing GRAW2 and suffer from the same problem.... Its taken me endless amounts of searching for servers that dont boot me off jsut to get to level 3 ? - How do they expect you to gain rank if you cant get a game?

..If the level 1 doesnt want to play and feel that they wont stand a chance they will leave themselves surely,

The ones that stick around obviously feel that they can hold their own and will stand and fight

... I think that the ones who kick are just scared of getting whooped by a noob and losing there own rank points lol

@Drizzy RSX - Ill add you mate .. I could do with a host like that,

For those players that have worked hard at there ranks I can understand not wanting to lose it in 1 game, meet & greet this is really the best solution. Great idea Black widow, wtg Clap bow. I rarely play ranked games, never felt any need to tobe honest. I like the game format Assasination on RB6V I try to get a game going on GRAW2 changing up restrictions NO SPAWNS brings the game that bit closer to what I uesed to play on GRIT. Every Wednesday I'm gonna try to host a game, it may work it may flop. Either way I'm gonna keep trying depending on peoples imput. Just to clarify I don't boot players because I get killed, I don't care about rank, I just want a chance at a little sneeking and a little running, a good solid game. I realise that this Wednesday is the 4th of July so I don't expect to many turning up but I will be there just in case someone does show. As the game becomes more popular then the times will become more frequent, just trying to get a game right now is nearly impossible. After this Wednesday every week Wednesday 8:00 pm East (Florida time).

please don't add me if you just want to play sharpshooter headquarters though, I'd much rather play the DLC maps with some kind of objective. I'm also not on a ton really, but when I get on I'd like to be able to play good games.

Also, yeah to everything that has been complained about ranked matches. I always played player matches because I figured the ranked matches were an area for your typical xXx SH4DOWKILLERNINJADRAGONxXx types, and honestly I'd rather just play the game and not deal with people trying to tell me how good their clan is (like that counts for anything at all in life haha). But I recently started trying ranked since it's getting harder to find games and two search options is better then one and was shocked by how widespread it is. ("It" being low-ranked booting and general "I'm so awesome because look at how many kills I got in this video game"-ness).

Also, even if you're in a game that is allowing rank 1 players you get booted anyway if you're good. To these people the only thing worse than playing with a rank 1 player is getting beaten by one. It's pathetic how much of a grip this video game has on their lives, it's just unfortunate that in GRAW2 (as opposed to other games), the losers that take it seriously can boot you to effect YOUR playing time, meaning they can actually ruin it for you as opposed to just being something good to laugh at.

I have been playing the GR games about 4/5 years in that time it has had its moments that the level i was playing at was utterly and completely adicted to the game. Even as bad as I was I have never hosted a RANKED mack and booted new players because of rank. I have booted players new & old because of there ethics within the game or while in the lobby they displayed inapropriate conduct for the room. There is a tempo in a game that can be very easy to go with and enjoy but with some effort it is also possible to bring the room to a halt. A good host will let all players in to a room and boot only when the room is offended or affected. The host is also obligated to control the room so all players are able to give imput, this is how I think rooms should run. When I get in a random room I tell the host I'm new and put me where ever they feel good, this way I can get used to the room and players, if I play a few rounds and find it not to my liking I thank the host for the games and leave. I have only been booted on a few occasions. Sometimes I jump in a random room, it fills up and the host has buddies still trying to get in, Rather than have the host pick some one to boot I'll thank the host then leave.
alasz4 you are right, it is only a game and some people take it way to seriously, but that is there bisness we should still respect those who do.
If we all try to treat hosts or players in our room a little better then our game quality will improve. I have hosted rooms where the lobby conversations were of such distaste I was disgusted with the players waiting so I booted them, I will not tolerate any inapropriate trash talking. Unfortunately when I host I can only hold maybe 10/12 max but all players are welcome, get ready to kill and be killed, bring your guns but leave your attitudes.

GT = Ninja Dog.

I don't even play rqanked games in GRAW2 due to the annoyance of not being the right rank for the room... which happens to be every room I quicmatch into. Two months back, I managed to get into a room with a few jokers who were hilarious and didn't care what happended to their rank score- I went froma 0 to a 5 or 6 in an hour and a half. More importantly, the room was just really fun; a lot of ranked players forget that you're supposed to be having fun when you're playing a video game.

Ninja Dog you will find alot of players in here agree with you 100%, myself included, for a game to be intence because of the game PLAY is ok to a point but because of rank it takes the fun out of playing. I understand why there are ranks but I feel that the ranks probably create more problems than they are worth.

Hey, it IS fun to watch your rank number go up and down, no doubt. I've lost valuable sleep in the Rumble Pit in Halo2 because I didn't want to lise my rank or wanted to rank up just one more time before calling it a night. It is fun, but it seems like there are a lot of players that lose perspective on having fun with it.
For a lot of players, I think you're right- rank is causing more trouble than it's worth. I think it would be cool to rank your clans on GRAW 2, but that won't deter me or my clan from playing a game we have so much fun with. If I jump into a random room, I'd rather play a ranked game, just to see what happens with my rank as I play.. but too often, it's a hassle dealing with players who are too gung-ho about maximizing their rank.
With every game out there, the top ranks and leaderboards are generally held by people who glitch, standby, cheat, whatever. They do this out of some kind of need- to be able to tell their friends how good they are at a video game because they're at the top of the leaderboards. If feel bad for those guys, they don't appreciate the journey. You won't find the best players on the leaderboards or grinding rank- they're too busy winning games fair and square, so I often view rank as a stigma.
That room I mentioned in my above post was fun, because nobody cared about getting a higher rank. One guy int eh room was using a grenade launcher at close range, usually killing himself along with an enemy. At one point, he said, "Ninja, I do NOT CARE. I'm crazy! I will blow myself UP, that's how crazy I am!" Veryhappy
It was just a fun time. And the fact that the guy was wrecking his own KDR made it even funnier. None of us was playing a tourney, it was just some impronptu Sharpshooter games to pass the time.

Trying to find a ranked room when starting out is a pain. Even getting in on player matched w/o *******s is though. Some times the multiplayer experiance isn't worth the hassle. Ninja, you sign up for the 2 day GRAW thing that Zip is running?

Ninja I feel that CLANS NEED ranks, I think its an invaluble tool for the players to understand how good the team is they are faceing, most clans are good solid players that want to play, beat or be beaten in a fair game. Ranks just get abused outside of clans, yes I'm sure there are a lot of players like yourself who just want to have a good time with it but, in this thread most players are getting booted because of the hosts without any level of gamesmanship (person) Confused CLASS. When a host boots a player for no reason other than self gratification that shows NO CLASS, if the host has a guest coming then say it, if the host is closing down the room SAY IT, if you just don't want you rank sucking dry buy a noob grow a set of b*lls and say it. It pisses me off, I'll bet that most of the players here have been booted from rooms and most of the time they don't even know why, just probably asume, its because of rank. If these BOOTING hosts want to host games properly they need to understand that most players that are asked to leave because of legit reasons don't mind, no there are not jumping up and down smileing but they arn't pissed. sorry for ranting.

Every Wednesday night 8:00 est (Florida) I will be hosting games, EVERYONE is welcome.

I think that tournament ladders and and game events, like clan v clan meet-ups, are more important than a trueskill-like ranking for a clan, but I totally see your point. However, some clans wil ldegenerate into glitching and cheating just for the rank, leading to the problems you see in all other ranked games.
BTW, are you ina clan. If so, we should set up a scrimmage sometime...

I was in a clan untill just a week or so ago, I backed out because of time issues, I do have a few requests pending I'll have a look see what we can get going, that could be very cool. Honestly I have only ever played in 2 clan matches, the 1st was on GRIT Embassey, got spawn rapped, no fun there. 2nd was in GR2SS fishinig village, everyone just kept running up to the middle getting killed I was moveing around the out side and geting kills. I got acused of spawn killing, in five different map locations, go figure. I try to changs my game against who I'm playing, I do prefer to sneek though.
