Surely the technology is there to determine when someones connections goes in and out, whether it be malicious (lag switch), or a terrible connection - they should be booted from a game regardless. Pathetic.

ferreal....half the time it's not even lag switches...

I get booted for rooms because people accuse me of cheating, "lag switching", double sticking, "double-glitching" (whatever that is)...

yet
A. they are the ones running around with 100 round guns lagging the game.
B. people can't shoot...they can't aim..
C. their connection sucks (for example, one room the host booted me because I was "lagging" his room... so I go back in....and he had his room set to 16 players... the room fills up.. and he kicks out 8 people and says... I can only hold 8 players".... well the round that I was booted after .. we had 12 players... so because I had a good score.....I was automatically the culprit?
D. some people are just plain dumb.... .I love the scar-LCQC.. my favorite gun.. half the time I play.. I sneak onto the other team's side of the map, lay down and shoot EVERYONE on the other team in the back.... they don't/can't figure out where I am shooting from since they assume I'm in front of them... so when we get to the lobby and I have a score of 26-1.. they all accuse me of glitching.
E. don't run around with a sniper rifle and then complain "I can't hit you".. .maybe because your gun was meant for long range and not in your face distances.

I've been playing this game for too long now.. and it ****es me off when people have too much pride to just say "good game wrek".. instead.. everyone has to get all butt hurt and accuse people of cheating.

I am not a cheater... don't need to cheat. Never will.

What's funny is I've been teaching my gf how to play.. and she uses my gamertag.. she'll enter a room and get ejected.. and she'll tell me.. "they said that wreklesbfrendz is a glitcher"

people on this game need to quit making excuses for their own lack of skills.

Sounds like you guys need to find a group of nightly regulars. If you jump in and out of rooms you will always find hosts that boot the good players. If I get on at an odd time and find an open room I get booted after a few rounds of killing the host over... and over... and over again. The worst is joining a room only to find out that DLC is turned off and Headquarters is in strict rotation.

There are glitchers and laggers out there and you can spot them easily. Just getting shot is not an indicator... but a player bouncing all over the screen with 10-20 foot leaps might be.

Just to stir it up a bit... I run with a sniper and use it for short or long range. I'd love to go toe to toe with you wrek. Keep an eye out

Yeah but it's hilarious going into a room where every one thinks they're oh so good, getting into their spawn, setting up and just mowing them down. Whether they boot you or not. They just have to make themselves feel good somehow. I've been accused of everything in the book but haven't done a thing. Only time I ever did anything was I bumpered the crap out of a guy because he kept doing it to me. I find there is a lot more bumpering going on then anything now a days. And that you can tell instantley, where as lag is completely different and easy to tell. As far as turbo controllers go, I know one guy with it and he's a cheating moron and then a few lag switching morons. Anyone that has to use that crap for any game is pathetic anyway.

I did once respawn on the top of the parking garage in Embassy. It was only a ten minute match and I got 40 kills..haha. No friggin idea how I got up there, but I couldn't get down what so ever, so I used it. Guess that could be considered glitching, but it was funny because no one even looked up there. I've tried everything to get back up there too, but never have, must have been a fluke respawn or something.

I've seen that happen a few times Melee. Seems to be a random respawn. Never happened to me though. If so, I would have had more than 40 kills though LOL

If you don't play with the DLC off and go for brain-dead run 'n gun, spray 'n pray -sessions you'll most likely be accused of every imaginable cheat ever invented in the history of Ghost-series 'n XBL.

That's why I don't play in public rooms or ranked session.
Too many broke (another word for behind) children without the DLC, too many players with a mediocre connection 'n sad pathetic little people cheating in any possible way with or without gadgets.

But that is a good idea, the next one should have some random respawn points, where you get stuck or something on a few maps, be rather interesting.

You still get glitching morons in other rooms too, sometimes even more so. The kiddies are cheap and usually have crap connections because they have computers going and all that crap too, but it's the people with money and no life that has to create lag switches or buy turbo controllers or crap like that.

Basically just find people who don't cheat and keep playing with them, only real way to avoid it.
