if they do include zombies then i hope they arelike the ones in I Am Legend. fast, furious and will eat everything. those wer scary monsters aswell as hard to kill ones.

the other way they could really make this game work is online. a online version of the single player city. evreybody trying to survive. people can stick together or kill each other. like i read in a different post, if u could set up water bottles to gather water and return to see if thy are full. then if others online can find ur bottles then u will have to find other ways. people could fight to survive. people could have leaders and if those leaders arent successful in gathering water then the other followers can mutiny and take over. causing the bad leader to respawn in a different part of the city on his own.

Plus The Forum is quite dead. The info and promotion of the Game is quite less and fans dont know much about the game.

MAybe this place is full of fans when we will hear some more info on the game.

FWIW, I love forums when they're almost dead. No raging fanboys, no illiterate preteens... only the people that are observant enough to notice an awesome game before it's announced full-force.

Me, having fallen in love with this game within the first five minutes of seeing it, am gonna try and stick it out till the game is released, peace or not So, hi everybody!

ON TOPIC: At this point, I'm really hoping for no major "hostile antagonist". That may sound stupid, but we have SO many shooters, action/adventures, survival horrors, and swords n' sorceries... I'm hoping that I Am Alive will be a rather large change of pace from that, and the biggest threat is starvation or thirst (or getting crushed by a big rock).

On the other hand, there should be points where you CAN fight your way out of a situation, like the one in the trailer, but I'm hoping that you never actaully HAVE to fight. Just imagine, scrambling through a convenience store and finding a revolver under the counter, but then having to be careful because you have five bullets and no reloads, so fighting is a last-priority... that's the kind of survival game I'm hoping for: almost like a survival simulator

I believe I found this game about a month and a half ago. When it was first called "Alive" (At least I hope this is the same game as that one, but more then likely it is) but this game rocks from what I see. I don't want a zombie game, I don't want a shooter, what I want to do is survive. Don't get me wrong, Left 4 Dead, Fallout 3, Destroy All Humans, all those games rock, but... it's recyled... I enjoy a unique game every now and then. Which is why, to this day the games Disaster Report andRaw Danger are still two of my favorite games. I am looking very foward to this game. More then any other game out there.

I like this board. It's not dead. It's just a noob safe zone. Kind of like a bunker. Just don't go opening the doors. We aren't ready to face the illiterate ramblings of preteens just yet. Anyway... on topic... I doubt they'll have Zombies in this game but honestly, I still hope they do. *huge zombie fanatic* ... and the online mode that you described sounds very similar to Grand Theft Auto. I wonder... will I Am Alive be a Sandbox game? *wanders off to create his own thread*

I really don't want zombies. I really want a game similar to Disaster Report or Raw Danger... those are my favorite games!!

I think his could turn out like I AM LEGEND cosidering the name an all but with more immune people. Looks to be a great game though.

I think it would be cool if there were no supernatural or alien bad guys or anything. This game could be very revolutionary for survival games if it was just trying to survive a natural disaster and the only enemies were occasional survivors like in he trailer. They've done to many survival games where it ends up being some kind of alien or zombie attack.

Although, think of how cool a War of the Worlds game would be... You would have to escape rom the tripods and such.

Instead of zombies, they could have panicking people that have acquired crude weapons. After all, after a disaster that utterly destroys an entire city, some people are going to lose their minds, right?

Yeppers, one crazed maniac is far more dangerous than a thousand zombies... hell, you're a fan of Death Note, you already know that. XD

Zombies would take away from the feel of this game. It (hopefully) is a natural disaster, and you are just living through it.

As far as online play goes, I've always had this game in the back of my head. People are divided into four groups (or whatever). They're goal is to survive as long as possible. The player has a requirement for food and water. As your need for this goes up, your character slowly reaches starvation. Each team has an HQ, and there are a few grocery stores, dumpsters, gas stations, all of which contain food, and in some cases ammunition. Each team goes out during the day and gathers all the food they can while staying alive. The food eventually diminishes and you get to the point where you must kill people to get what you need, or just because you want it all to yourself.

This style promotes teamwork, but also promotes competitive gameplay. It would be a different way to play a game that really has never been seen before.

ya thats a great idea except thers no advatage to just chossing on side such as one has vehicals or better weapons or just all around avrage teams. but the trailer clearly showed u play the role of one man and his quest for survial. hate to be a idea killer
