I have a feeling that this game will be a mix of both free roaming and stage-oriented areas. If survival is going to be a key element, obviously there will be some direction you'll be inclined to go, but I'm sure you can roam around a bit and do some exploring without having your hands tied down to exactly one thing.

I must say, if this game is going to be a free roaming adventure/survival title, it will be pre-ordered posthaste by yours truly. I'm an extreme lover of all things free roaming. Since the release of Fallout 3, it seems to me that Bethesda is best at creating open worlds in which to explore. I have faith in Ubisoft, however, that they may be able to replicate such an achievement in this one. I adore Assassin's Creed, therefore I'm going to give them a chance. One thing that scares me is a main plot. In games such as these, I know it's crucial to have a point to the story. It's almost inescapable. However, other games have gotten around this by making such a story optional. I do so hope that this game lets you decide whether or not you want to find out what caused the earthquake. So, basically what I'm trying to get across here is that I wish for a free roaming, free decision survival/adventure game with no main objective if one so wishes it.

Obviously the free roaming aspect would be fantastic, but I think there would have to be a main objective to follow. Otherwise, you may run out of stuff to do rather quickly. I imagine you would run into more survivors that may not take too kindly to you unless you helped them or the greater good... and they would stop you from reaching a certain destination. That's just a small example. I'm sure they're clever enough to introduce many more scenarios different from that. |
