In the preveiw you hear in the backround sirens in the backround right before he takes the phone call. Is this somewhat related to the earthquake like mabe the cops are evacuating before the quake. Tell me what you think
Hmm interesting. It could have been, i guess we'll find out. Because in interviews it says we'll find out how it happend throughout the game...so it must be more than a standard earthquake.
In the first thread someone said before "Caused by a 10.2 mag earthquake... or is it??"
I hate when people do that, but it should just be an earthquake, if not, it'll be like cloverfield all over again, I liked the movie but that'll ruin this game, they should just stick to a more realistic cause.
Yeah I Hear That Sound, It's like Be A crime In The City Or Like More Cars Not Move ( The Streets Crashes And Cars ), or Like Ambulance Sound, May Be we know More Every time Show The Trailer Of game
ok i noticed the same thing and i think the sirens are car alarms like the one that goes off right next to the main character, and i think they are car alarms that are off in the distance closer to the epicenter of whatever caused the disaster.
i think the sirens came from the police cars because of the earthquake. When the earth shaked it caused everything to screw up like Adams phone turning off and the sirens on the polic cars going off, electricity probably shut down too.
have you ever been to a big city, there are police sirens almost every day. its not unusual and how would the police know about the earthquake before it happened

I agree, living in a big city it is a common thing, I really dont think it has to do with part of the story.
although, if it takes out the cell phones, its gotta be more than a earthquake... and i think the sirens could just be normal incidents, i agree with xscream here... its a big city... its probably just normal stuff... I wouldn't go so far to say a nuclear attack, because then we would see a burning city, this has some aspects of a earthquake, but what throws that off is the cell phones going down... unless it takes down all the towers at the same time, which i doubt it did.. it cant be that, im thinking mabye an EMP blast caused that. Not going far enough to say its war.. but who knows.
What you have to remember is that they placed the sirens there, this is NOT a real city. Yes, I know it's set in Chicago.. I mean as in it's a virtualised version of it. They chose to put the sirens in there, I doubt they'd put the sirens in unless they felt they needed it for the atmosphere or purpose of the game, so I really don't think they are just random sirens.
Jamie you are 100% EVERYTHING is put in for a reason. The police sirens could however be put in to give the feeling that you are in a big city and that there is crime but I think it is more likely in relation to do with the earthquake.
For those of you who have studied film it is a technique called foreshadowing, basically telling you something is about to happen.

LOL, cops are in no way related to the government especially in contact with them! thats like saying a babysitter would be in on it.....haha
i don't think its cops but probably the us army and the national guard eveacuatig the city before the earthquake and plus there are ways you can tell if a earth quake is coming they use those earthquake scales that tell how big the earth quake will be and how long it will last and everybody check my other post where you get to vote on what camera views you want in this game peace+love=war lol
