I've been wanted to make this for long time now and finally i put my @ss down and do it.
Its a King of the Hill type of map. There is a hill : that both teams have to climb. At the end of the hill there is a hut: and inside there are both of the diamond cases: Set the diamond count to a high number (like 100) and the team that manages to hold the "fort" longer for someone in their team to keep scoring, wins the game. The other team mates are trying to defend the person from upcoming enemy. Simple yet fun Download by the name: King of the Hill Map Maker: Sandbird |

I never really saw it as a 'Mode', honestly. Its a neat concept though. I remember you from a while back too
Found the thread: Ths is copy pasted right out of it: Had to find this thread, so far back...check this out. MY MAP STARSHIP TROOPERS STARSHIP V1.0 by Sandbirds Skoprpius below is right, maybe put them just a little further apart, make it take a bt longer too. This message has been edited. Two diamond stations placed near each other like that causes a few problems. The first occurs when there is packet loss during off-host capturing. If someone, who isn't the host, tries to capture the diamond too fast, it (the diamond) may become lost to all other plays except for the host. The Host's team has the advantage at this point. This can be remedies by placing the capture points a few paces from each other.
However, the second issue is the announcer. It wouldn't be very fun to listen to the voice over about how our diamonds have been stolen, get them back to me. King of the Hill can be accomplished in other ways. You can create a hill by having a strategic location that offers a great advantage over the other team. A perfect example of this is Halo 2's Tower of Power on Ascension. For those that are unfamiliar, the map hosted a tower that overlooked 85% of the map with a gun turret. With shields set to off, players were able to be killed quickly until their team could retake the tower. A custom map can also be built to create a Hill. One theory I was playing around with was a linear map with a hill in the center. One team would have the advantage if they were able to take control, but the other team would be able to push them back due to the Respawn logic. If you want an in-game objective, you could also utilize Uprising by placing three points in one location. The team that controls the hill has the great advantage of winning, but can be overthrown if they choose not to defend the three capture points. Hope this helps. |

Lol kevin thats true. I did like you concept and build a different version. Put some missiles on the side also that get launched when you shoot them.
Skorpius47 I did try with the uprise bases first...but then the captain cant have fun playing the game..cause when the other team get the mountain...game over with 1 shot ;P I kinda like the fact that the "voice" announces that the other team scores....makes everyone on the edge...to hurry and take that mountain. lol I am sick i know.. |

Rofl matty, yes thats a good point
Also, this map has a similar arrangement, though they are a bit farther apart. Each diamond is on either side of the wreckage, forcing the teams so control the crash site to win the match Yours would be interesting to try, maybe I can catch it running somewhere. I generally dont run CTD matches, but once in a great while I do. (I run Uprising more than CTD) Im usually just do TDM and DM servers. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Agent00Kevin, |

The best thing that my battleship has is its defense system for the approaching enemy.
On the wings of the ship there are mounted missiles that if you shoot 1 it will launch them all downwards towards the enemy. Give it a try :P Plus you can get in the belly of the ship and have small windows for some snipping action :P |
