I MADE A MAP CALLED "SEWER RATS"
MADE SOME LARGE BUILDINGS BUT WHEN I ADDED WATER TO THE SEWER SECTIONS BRIM I COULD SEE REFLECTIONS OF THE CLOUDS AND ROOF TOP PARTS FLOATING IN THE SKY... ((( SO I DESIDED AGAINST PUTTING IT IN... IT LOOKED AWESOME WITH THE WATER TO... I HOPE YOU CAN PASS THIS ON IF I AM THE FIRST TO REPORT IT, IF NOT HERES YET ANOTHER REQUEST. MANY THANXS PSN "PESK" |

Flickering texture on a single part of the map. Can't figure out how to get rid of it yet. (See map: "Blood Crossing" by worldpattern for Xbox360. Look down the river from the boat dock and you can see part of the mountain texture flickering on and off). |

My version of the map editor is the
Playstation 3 version.. I have one map in particular that.. has many many bugs.. my map with many many bugs is.. "To Forts(TEAM)" -Author signature : poltergeist A shading glitch.. the sun in the map will place odd shaped botches of shadow on the ground even if there isn't anything casting over.. at the hour set 8 in the morning rise and the evening set on the cast over of the terrain, the whole border of the map gets theses blotches of shadow an i cant figure out how to remove them.. this is caused by either the shading of the sun or.. a terrain mis-rendering.. not sure really, i had to smooth out many surfaces to get some of the shadows to not appear, but some others i couldn't figure out what was making it. Only really happens when the entire map has many set of elevations in the terrain.. The Forts building model.. each tower/guard tower has a skin error, and i know its not just my map, because i set the forts perfectly an there is no way arround this unless i paste over the transparent stuff with objects.. inside of the tower, EACH, of the tower fort model has a transparent wall corner inside the building... A terrain error/bug .. again in my Map, To Forts(Team) the map has theses brown streaks all over the terrain!!! this error kept makin me want to quit that map.. i have tryed limiting how many paths/roads i used ive tryed using just only one kind of path/road.. i have smoother out my mountain road an couple of others an that never fixed it either.. but for some reason.. the terrain on the center mountain, an the mountain road at the south end of the map will have theses brown streaks i re adjusted the map smoothed out many smuges.. of the area.. an still the brown streaks are still there.. Do the Occlusion blocks even work? i used a ton of them in my map an it still slows down drastically that is all the bugs ive found on PS3's map editor all thoses errors are mainly on my huge map, "To Forts (TEAM)" it is in the community map server under my signature, poltergeist.. Another error which really didn't drive me to much insane unlike the magical appearing shadows and brown streaks that would cover the entire map.... in my map "The Swamps (Team)".. there is this bug in the nature collective system(?).. The tool that allows you to place trees and other nature stuff by basically drawing.. In that tool when you accidentally post over terrain that has a different set of trees /object set sometimes it wont delete the objects that was placed over it first.. it will layer 2 objects together.. making a flickering bush.. which it is possibly only because the first object wasn't removed, and instead it will just layer over it untill you delete it.. then once you delete the first layer of of the nature collective system.. it will render fine.. but there are still many flickerin bushes cause every time i see a bush that is flickering i forget where i saw it at.. and it only happens when its clear and in the middle of the day on that map.. when the light source/the sun isn't shinein directly on it.. you wont really see any blipping/flickering bushes.. or streaks.. several errors seem to be like that as well.. the terrain, and the shadowing error usually cant be seen when you set the map to have a overcast/limited light on the map.. could ubisoft also add more vehicles to the map.. one of my maps.. would be a lot funner if i could have 6 vehicles per team... |

-The snap tool has a bug in which the option to change the direction of the angle doesn't seem to work. It always snaps in one direction no matter what angle and direction is selected. -When previewing the final map, some textures on steeper terrain are not re-rendered. It is more common when there are more than 2 textures used. -The snap object rotation does not always work. I notice that rotating brushes in the y-axis can occasionally make them stop rotating when it tilts at 90 degrees...which is very helpful, but unfortunately does not seem to work consistently. -I've encountered several occurrences of the same problem in which rotating a group of aligned brushes at once will cause the brushes to shift apart from each other. |

wtf...my map editor wont even boot up...i got the game for pc. and im using microsoft xp SP3 home edition and when i double click on the icon it pops up saying map editor has encountered a problem and needs to exit, and whatever ive been working on has been lost, then it apologizes.
like for gods sake i cant even get it to open for it to have this stupid error, so wtf is wrong with the map editor and benchmarks and dedicated server icons? the game alone runs fine but these others dont even boot up. |

i play the 360 version and i have a pproblem validating my map i validated it for all for all game modes but when i save it says this is not valid for any game modes but then the other validation thing says spawn point not clear then no tick next to it

360 bug
1. if you edit an object that snaps to walls (i.e. poster, picture frames, signs) that has been placed on and object where the z-axis has been altered any new objects placed will have a new default z-axis. It appears that it is whatever the z-axis was for the object that had the item snapped to it. 2. Water pumps can't be deystroyed while playing multiplayer, except for by the host of the match. |

Hello,
I made some beautifull maps on my FC2 pc version. but I don't know how to share them. I have been looking everywhere for this problem but can't find out. my map editor doesn't look like all those map editors in the tutorial video's and things. I have got to start the program in windows cause there isn't a link somewhere in my fc2 game. and then it just opens in a windows window, not somewhere in fc2. Why does my map editor look different and why can't I find the place to upload my map?(how should I do that?) I am sure that it is a fc2 map editor cause it was installed at the same time as fc2 but I can't upload |

First, to supergoth: The map editor that is in their demo vids is the console editor. ours is separate, but to publish maps, you must go into the game and go to map community, then publish your maps from there. kind of stupid.
to anyone who has problems with the editor and benchmarks not working. i suffered this problem. a reinstall fixed it, but i realized that they didnt work because i uninstalled a c++ compiler program that they seemed to rely upon. if you have been uninstalling programs in windows and now the editor wont work, thats probably why. I have a few issues: 1. lights shine through walls and ceilings. if i place a lightbulb on a ceiling, i can see it through the floor above. 2. Textures on some parts of my map (all cliffs) are distorted and terrible looking, while other parts have better textures. Also, when i shoot these parts, as many as four heavily distorted bullet holes appear with each bullet. very odd. 3. there is a storm factor setting (i wish fog was separate), but it while it fogs up my editor maps, it doesnt apply to them in game, making textures look pale and "glowie." 4. keep camera with terrain keeps your camera above water. annoying to have to lower the water level if i want to edit something below it. 5. ladders and turrets that dont work in MP still usually work in the editor, so i cant test which ones will be faulty. i hope some, if not all of these get fixed i also hope that i helped anyone else with those solutions at the beginning. |

I have noticed that just about all objects don't have textures on the bottom in the PC version of the game. You can see straight through the object, however it seems that the game reckognizes the bottom surface, and reacts appropriately (some brick chips off of the fort series of objects). You can only see the wall textures from the bottom, not even the textures that you can walk on and interact with.

PS3 version
(these are annoying, but minor really) 1. Sometimes after editing an object in 3D, then adding a new object, the new object is tilted similar to the previous object I had edited 3D instead of being level. Exiting the editor and restarting fixes the problem though. 2. When placing signs on walls and other objects, they often don't match up very close, and it takes a lot of rotating and moving in 3D to make the sign look like it's actually attached to the object. 3. need to be able to tilt ladders forward, some objects don't play well with ladders when they have to be vertical (examples: windmill and the tall fuel tank) |

I have not thoroughly read through this thread, but one fix i would like to see:
Do not filter a map list until "apply" is hit! I have created a map list, and as I scrolled through the game modes, it would filter the list of any maps not set for a game mode even if I'm not selecting that particular game mode, causing me to have to re-organize the maps in my rotation. Please please fix this! Thanks.
