Well I wanted this out about a week ago but I got distracted, grr Cross Edge (really good RPG on the PS3)... but anyway I already gave Kevin a heads up so I'm expecting it to already be in his server rotation. All right I'm starting to ramble.
Vindicator is a small map designed primarily for CTD and TDM. Link for the video is below.
Sorry I was feeling too lazy to slap a bunch of pics up.
Sorry I forgot to mention that the song in the video is free to download at ocremix. They have music there for just about anyone's taste so it's really worth checking out.

So far so good I got the map in and got a game in on it, TDM. It played pretty good, and I didnt find any flaws, but im not that guy who constantly tries to get out of the map. Ill get some more games in on it tonight and we'll see how it goes
Fun, and unique looking map. TDM mode came out to be a draw btw, which shows some good balancing. I also put this in my DM rotation; the ;ayout looks like it might make some fun DM matches.
I would like to take a closer look at it, since your maps are usually flawless. the only thing I would change is adding an occlusion blocks ceiling, but it's mainly because I don't like the shadows much.

I wanted to leave the shadows because the majority of the map is pretty open. The shadows kind of act as a visual cover making it harder to spot someone. Plus It keeps at a pretty solid frame rate on my machine it's between 75-90 FPS so I'm gonna guess on slower machines it should hit between 40-50. I tested it on a slightly slower machine and it was going at about 60, meaning for me I didn't need an occlusion tarp above, plus the top of the tower is to high to effect ground shadow so it probably wouldn't have helped.
One more thing I probably won't be making this on the 360, I can't get the precision angles on that version of the editor (that's unless the angle is a multiple of five).
As I suspected, the map plays a great DM match too. I played with some rockets for a while, then used a FAL. Sniping is fairly limited, and I rarely got shot from above when travelling the low route. As soon as I get my screens uploaded, ill post a couple.
I was a little worried about snipers due to how open the stage is, but kind of thought hmm no one is gonna get the time to pick guys off with out being flanked.
I was thinking of changing my servers up a bit and adding one that runs maps that are just good maps-not meant to be anything in particular, just well designed maps. This one fits the bill perfectly, as do your other maps. (I still run those too, especially Star Cry Instincts-thats a fav on my server)
Again, great map, pacing is just right for those who dont want to run shoot die respawn lather rinse repeat. It plays just as good with 10 or 16 players, which is a + because some days on PC are slow, and I like to choose maps that support low numbers of players too.
Originally posted by Fauch_: 10 is an insanely high number of players. seriously, I would be happy with 4...
Seriously?? Is it that bad on consoles? I thought PC was slower than the 360! I still have about 12 or so at a time even on slow days; but it seems they always start showing up right when my day is over and its sleepytime
Weekends I can still fill 3 servers all the way, but I generally just run 2 servers.
I guess people just don't join games where the host is alone. or maybe they don't join if they don't know the map (I understand them, you have 99% chance to discover a bad map)
in another hand, I have several hundreds of good maps on my hard drive, it would be nice of them to host some of them from time to time, and I mean, not only jurassik park or battle for berlin...
