I have 2 maps in the works as well as a couple I have not advertised here. (Guess you'll just have to stop by UNS servers and see whats up)
The first I have a couple very early screens of, and it is a follow up to Decay, one of my more successful maps. This one aims for an even lower object count while improving on the theme visually. I have most of the map's general layout done, and a bit of the detail started. This second entry in the Decay series will be faster paced than the first, which is by no means slow at all. I didnt clutter the streets nearly as much, and vastly improved the usability of the environment. Almost anything you see can be climbed on or in or even both in many cases. There are no true paths to take, besides the roads. The map isnt open at all, but players will have the freedom to traverse the map in any number of ways: brute force, stealth, simply avoiding the busier areas. The entire environment will be open to tactical use limited only by your imagination. Anyway, here are two early screens of the map so far. The background setting is not done, and you better believe that it will have a blasted skyline The second map takes place within a deck of a large space ship, and will be a fast paced duck and cover brawler map. I dont have screens as the roof is not on yet and it does not look right without it. This one will take time as I aim to match Lunar Lunacy in ambience and the overall feel of the map. Screens will be availible as soon as the first section is roofed. |

Can i ask a question. You are a very talented map maker. Why don't you use that that ability on a better editor like the Crysis one. I mean Far Cry 2 has a good editor that is easy to learn and use but it lacks the assets.
The crysis one is harder from what I hear but just looking at the maps people have created it smokes Far Cry 2 out of the water. It would be amazing to see what maps you could make for Crysis. |
