I recently spent some time in the mapmaker recreating a couple of old favorites from the old days: the Bunker from Goldeneye 007 (N64, and the Facility also (Felicity if you plyed Perfect Dark)With very similar weapons, this should be a good time for those who played before, and new players can learn easily as the levels arent hard to understand. Ammo signs help the unfamiliar and refresh the memory of vereran players. Everything is there from the screens in the main room, to the mainframe to the turret gun (non functional of course) to the brig.
PC Severnaya Bunker 007 Facility v1.1 [!] These maps have been updated. Severnaya Bunker is now 007 bunker for easier recognition. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Agent00Kevin, |

Here are some of my early maps, good old 007 remakes. I took Facility off for a while, then was kicking myself when I saw that one made the Ubi recommended list. Arrgh.

Severnaya Bunker Update:
[!] now named 007 Bunker I went back and did some touching up on my 2nd map I made with the FC2 editor. I reworked it down in size by removing many of the lights and adding a roof that light can get through. I also touched up the walls as they were a bit rough, as I was still figuring out the editor when I made it. A few additions were made, but no drastic changes were made. The most signifigant change besides object count and overall performance it the addition of cover to the long main corridor. The map is an old favorite of mine, and plays comparatively to the old N64 map. I know, a map from a console game that old on a PC isnt that much in demand, but there are a few of us who like them. I have been seeing remakes pop up on the map browser now and then, so maybe nows the time to resurrect my old ones. these are old screens, remember, I removed most of the lighting for performance |

Classic maps. I bet they play great in 8-player team deathmatch. Using the PC light assets on the wall where the world map would be is clever.
But, come on man. Aren't there other materials outside of colonial fences that could have been used to make those two maps? Especially since this is the PC version. Tell me you're using rock walls in the Bunker, at least. |

Nope, sorry its mostly the good ol colonial fence. As I said, these were the first two maps I ever made on the FC2 editor, and at the time they seemed natural choices
I did these two remakes to learn the editor before I undertook working on my first totally original map, which happens to be Fallout v3.5 (or Fallout Redux if you have a low end PC) |

Goldeneye, Now that was my fave game back in the day of the n64's.
Its a shame that i dont have the pc version because i would be interested in seeing more of this. Looks good from what i can see. Light assets for 360 would be nice.... |
