ok first thank you guys 4 the interests and help!
apreciate it!

So, i spent a lot of time working on that damn performance...without any (difference making) luck! Angry Blue Guy
...well i think i'm putting that project on ice for a while. The map is officialy open 4 any changes from
other players or mappers! So if you think you can make it "better", do it! Happy
would be funny to see some different versions online...BUT!, it still is my mapcreation!!!

ps: i began a new teamworkproject with marcel178 (it's not the reason why i quite working on map "In Bruges")
(small hint about next map: "Bad Company")

I had a bit of a look inside and it looks like your biggest issue is shadows...all the slatted wood bits would cast a lot of detailed shadows.
It may take away from the feel but did you try putting occlusion blocks in the sky to stop shadows from being cast?

like this sorta thing:

Had a fiddle just to show what fps increase you may get at the cost of quality.

Deleted some roof pieces, you cant see them when playing
Before:

After:

put some extra occlusion blocks in center wall and buildings and took a screen shot of how it looks with shadows removed.
Before:

After:

thats a slight increase in FPS, you could probably get more with better occlusion in buildings(i only added a few).
But yeah depends on the quality you want...the feels great with shadows but at the cost of fps is a hard choice.

By chance did you take inspiration from oblivion?

Ha, I was going to try an oblivion map, but this one would have killed anything I would have done.

I have to say this is one of the best looking maps I have ever seen. The ambience in it is amazing, but I dont run it because I have a very high standard for framerate on my servers. (My rig, Ultra High settings, >35 fps) It is fine on lower settings, and like I said an amazing map. It just needs a touch of performance Smile

Awesome map, in my opinion, best custom work I have seen Smile

I played a DM match in this one today, and I gotta say its one of the most well done maps out there. It has a very original and unique look, and the gameplay is outstanding. You can explore many of the buildings, and there are multiple levels to many of them. The theme is kept throughout the map, some of the best custom work I have seen yet. Smile

5/5 Stars Metal
