Hello folks,

If you're on the 360, I'd sure appreciate you giving this map a look-see. I feel reasonably confident that it's my best map to date...but please decide for yourselves. Thanks, and if you have any feedback, good or bad, I would REALLY appreciate you posting to this thread and letting me know.

looks good, make sure there is a lot of cover. Can't really see it (not saying there isn't any)

Is this the final version? Or still working hard on it?

Those blocks are Colonial fence corners, sensationnikke.

And yeah, the photos don't really show the cover aspect of the map really well. I could have used a litle more in places, but 2 of the grids where most of the action will take place, I hit my brush limit! (Doh)

I'd like to add that CTD would not be my first choice as the game-type to play, although it is set up for it. I'm hoping Uprising will work out really well. Again, if you get a game or two in on this, please let me know how it went. I'm assuming I'll be revising it once I get some feedback...I have yet to produce a map that doesn't have some issue that has to get fixed.

EDIT: One problem that was pointed out to me has been addressed. Fortunately for me, only 4 people had downloaded it prior to my a fix a few minutes ago.

I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing Smile

UPDATE: I ran my first match on this yesterday, and a friend pointed out a couple of annoying Occlusion block issues, so I fixed and re-posted WITH THE SAME NAME. So, if you happened to downloaded this map prior to yesterday and you plan to keep it, please delete and re-download. While both versions work perfectly fine, I'm hoping not to propagate the glitchy version. Thanks!

ANOTHER UPDATE!!

Somehow, a regular spawn point ended up in midair, and causes a suicide spawn. I just can't believe I missed that, but anyway that is fixed. Also added a new way to access the upper levels which balances team access quite a bit.

That was a blast on uprising, dave. Point A is just a bloodzone. Could be the best map I've played on Far Cry 2, including the developer's maps.

Well, thank you! That is nice to hear. Although I cannot agree, there's a lot of maps out there that play much better than this one, I'm glad you like it and I think it does play pretty well. I hope everyone out there gets a chance to at least check it out.

I only got to play deathmatch on this but that was fun. I can imagine what Uprising will be like.

Hats off on the construction. This map has great Ideas throughout.

I need to try out the other modes.

Thank you for the comments, folks!

If you're going to play this, it's been proven that UPRISING and DEATHMATCH are the best ways to enjoy it. CTD is a bit of a bust...you can play it, but it's not truly the way to appreciate the map. In retrospect I should've removed that game type. Uprising is really where it's at, but small groups in Deathmatch are a whole lotta fun. If you played this and enjoyed the experience, lemme know! Thanks.

Dave..The map is Awesome and my buddy Niladen loves it..
When I hosted it,There was a little slowdown on my end because of everything packed in the small game area(I expect)..
Have you noticed when hosting?

It didn't effect the gameplay and anybody else..I think it was just me.

I build most maps for uprising 1st,CTD second,,And TDM isn't even considered much for me Big Grin .
I try and drive the teamwork into every map instead of kill count.
Tactics and Teamwork..

Ive been finding more and more I make my maps almost 2 different games comparing CTD to uprising.

My new map "COTA MarinePatrol" realy demonstrates how CTD and Uprising can almost make a map 2 seperate games.

In the past Ive always tacked on one game mode or the other but I'm learning to use the game modes better now...

Well done on all the maps Ive seen of yours.
