Hi guys, sup 00Kevin.

I was surprised to see my name mentioned lol, i try to keep up with the forums on a good day. Im surprised someone found that NuclearSub map that was quietly added to the massive database. It was made to celebrate the end of the moddb.com mapping contest, as many of the participants created new maps that we threw on a server and called it our "after contest party".

I appreciate your looking into the map, and also the suggestions you have. Yes when i have hosted it i've had complaints of lag due to all the lights, which makes me sad because...that was part of my original idea to begin with, i wanted the sub to have lots of underlighting of red and white, reflecting off the metalic walls also. It looks really cool when all the lights are on, but sadly its not playable for most =(. Anyway, i dont mean to blab to much on here, Im just glad somebody liked it, i was about to scrap it when too many people complained of lag, i figured no one but me wanted it around. I have put a ton of occlusion blocks in that baby, but unfortunately they dont seem to block out light much. Perhaps i'll make a version without all the lights. If you think the layout would work for good/fun gameplay, then perhaps i'll sacrifice the true look of it, to make it perform better in play. Thanks again.

Oh and btw, I have hosted your fallout map several times on my server, and it has some fans who request it continually. good work.

While im here might as well mention a map. If your looking for something else original and creative, check out..
DisneyLand (PC), by forevers.
He's done a good job of recreating theme park attractions in a layout thats both conducive to a scenic race track, and also standard gameplay.

I host a server and am often looking for new stuff to impress those who join, so i'll be checking back here for recommendations. Thanks for your work guys.

I'm not complaining or any thing, but it would be nice to see my map up there! I've gotten plenty of reviews and they were all mostly posistive. My only problem is gettig my map out there for people to play.

Oh well maybe one of these days I'll get the surprise of a life time but until then i'll just keep hoping and making maps.

Yeah, I think you could probably find a way to just cut down the lighting and maybe some of the objects you used for effect on the wall and get it playable. I like themes like that; ones that are radically different from the normal FC2 setting. I liked the idea and think it has a lot of potental.

Also, thank you for hosting my map; I cant hostright now until I get off the router and acess point. I have a map with fully destructible buildings if that sounds like a good one to host. It is APR vs UFFL: Fuel Wars. It is designed for team play in mind, but supports DM too. Each team has equal compounds that can be reduced to rubble.

BTW, what is your server named? Id like to get in on the action as I cant host yet.

I will get a few looked at sunday night and post the results!

(for 360 users)
I want to recommend my Buddy Rebels map.
I think its called "Inside Xbox360" or something like that.

Look under Author Rebel74 OR Rebel 74..
Its realy cool and I think it will be alot of fun.
It looks amazing ,and he has put alot of detail in making everything look like the 360 circuit board..
He also did an amazing job with occlusion blocks and this thing stays mostly in the Green at all times..

He has already managed almost 50 downloads in the 1st night he published it,and Most voted to continue the match over and over (from what ive heard)..
I'm looking forward to playing this with a full server..
Well done rebel!!

(360 maps)

Thanks for the kind words Agent00Kevin.
Star Cry, Short Fuse and World Wide Confict by Thraxus(360) are great small action packed team deathmatch maps-good times.
Clockwork by Test3891(360) has a very surreal feel to it(giant cogs/gears). I think its great for CtD and TD. the fake trees below suck but the rest of the map is pretty cool just don't fall off.

No probelem man. I was going to post one of your maps on my own website that supports the mapmakers out there, if thats ok. I like to ask first.

Also, I have slacked off on the map reveiwing I usually do. This is because I suffered a full OS crash on both my laptop AND destop...resulting in the inability to reveiw maps. Both are up and running again, but I have to reinstall FC2...and I only have 1 activation left. I will be back on task this evening I hope!

Ressurecting this thread with a couple recommendations for PC users: Desperate Struggle by Thraxus and Sacred Gardens by f0u are good fast paced (depending on amount of players) maps that also look nice. I have been runningboth on the server, and they will stay for as long as people still enjoy them.

Also adding Hyper Crush Death City by Gunner_576, good fun with a full house. Lost of sneaky maneuvers possible, not too crazy but the action is always there (full house, smaller matches good too but its a little more relaxed.)

Gona have to throw these out there too:

Lumber Land by f0u
Stripclub_final by Naeseth
Kahuna's Wrath by elfar
Total War by Marcel178 (bully178)

All are good, fun maps. Lumber Land and Total War are great for TDM, Lumber Land for DM too. I generally play all the maps on DM mode.

Damn. That really is an amazing looking map. It's gotta be PC...if anything makes me want to get a PC, a map like that would.

I'd like to recommend UNS Metro by Agent00Kevin.

This is a great map that is mainly tatored towards the close intense battles. It's very well done and a blast to play. So I'd go download this one!
